valentineI’m suprised no one has made a post about his game. 21points and 17 rebounds from a rookie shooting guard!!!! Has any rookie guard ever had 17 boards? This kid just keeps helping stanford university get more pub. On top of that he lead the team in plus/minus. I’m willing to bet teams looking to trade with the knicks will ask that he gets included in the deal

llperezHere’s what the whole landry fields situation proved to me:
What internet sites and draft boards say about players means more then what the players are actually doing on the court for a lot of people.

llperezi wasnt saying lol at you, i was agreeing with you. I had the same idea after last nights game about bringing up fields. Its funny cause the post i bumped had fields and the knicks getting killed on draft night and everyone was giving thumbs up and now everyone seems to have thought fields was really underrated and was a solid pick all along.

HaleParticipantYou can count me out on that vote, I’d never heard of Landry Fields until everyone was complaining.

nbaretroParticipantFields has a nice game but last slow down, he did this against a below average frontcourt in Shelden Williams, Al Harrington, Gary Forbes and Nene
If Keynon Martin and Chris Andersen was there, I’d doubt he’d get 17 rebounds.

llperezi think fields is very lucky to have gone to NY. As much as i like him as a player, not sure he would have gotten the same opportunity with a lot of other teams. Hes not a guy that blows you away, hes just extermely solid and has an amazing motor where he is constantly hustling and around the ball and playing with a high IQ. I think he will only get better and his current 11ppg and 6reb will go up a little. He’s also shooting 58% from the field. He should be all-rookie first team.

stanford hoops17 rebounds is 17 rebounds reguardless. It’s against NBA players. There’s no downplaying that. Like 81 against the sorry raptors 31 rebounds against bad rebounding knicks. Good numbers is good numbers
I didn’t even see the lol part actually

sheltwon3ParticipantLandry Fields is playing really good. I mean at first I was upset because I did not know who he was and other players who I know were slipping down. I will say the Fields pick has opened my eyes and now I am paying more attention to college b ball. It is hard for me to follow everyone and Fields fell through the cracks. It has been a while since a player has done that but I hope it is a long time til it happens. I will say this when I saw footage of him and his stats I at least though he was going to be solid but definitely not this good. Knicks actually draft pretty good considering they give up a lot of their picks. I think if they would have just kept their picks, they would have a top 5 team in the East easy.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI think Knick fans are just crying that their season of hope has them sitting at 3-9 before the schedule has even gotten difficult. Oh, and that the money they saved up for LeBron went to Raymond Felton and Timofey Mozgov. Everyone should give them a moment of silence for that.

sheltwon3ParticipantIt is still early. Miami Heat has struggle. Knicks have been close in every game but 2 and it is just like they are out of sync. They should be .500 or 2 game away from that at the 20 game mark. Their schedule has not been easy but they have lost some games they should have won where they played terrible teams. They still have money for another max guy who could be Melo. Toney Douglas has been cold lately and early on it was Gallo. I think they have a 7th seed playoff spot if they can start playing together. Felton seems to be getting better as is Fields but Felton is bad at the pick and roll. Also Randolph needs to do more in the minutes he plays. The Russian needs to be on the bench as much as possible and maybe even d league as he learns how to play in the states and not foul so much. Knicks could really use Damp for one year.

McWinningParticipantTheyve been beat by the Sixers and Timberwolves, and their only wins have come against the Wizards, Raptors, @ no-Boozer Bulls, their scores have only looked close because of garbage time in some of the games.
I was a skeptic, but i still had them getting the eight seed barely, but right now they absolutely suck, you cant deny that, that might change though.

knicksfan7ParticipantLandry Fields makes me think of Jared Dudley. Not an elite athlete, but is a great leader and a winner. I like him a lot as a player who represents my team. He is going to have a nice long career.

Counting StarsParticipantI think Fields has already surpassed expectations to the point that it’s harder for him to surprise people. I think he’s definitely going to put himself in the conversation for the All-Rookie team.

llperezfields has way more hop in his step then dudley true. I’ve seen fields make sportcscetner top 10 highlights of the night for banging on dudes. I dont think dudley has those kind of ups.

knicksfan7Participantalmost everyone has way more hop than dudley, but my point is both are going to be great role players in there careers. They will both have 12-14 year careers.

sheltwon3ParticipantFields could actually be better than just a role player. You are talking at worst top 6th man while Dudley is like at best 7th man.

GrandmamaParticipantHe can thank his frontcourt for being terrible at rebounding, the same frontcourt that let Kevin Love snag 31 boards a few night before. Knick’s bigs are scared of the rebound monster.
