We all know about Frank Kaminsky and the Badger’s dominance, making the sweet 16 again, but I definitely didn’t hear anything about Nigel Hayes.  He has been averaging 18 PPG 6 RPG and 2.3 APG in his past three games and has shown some flashes of an energetic scorer that could help a team stretch the opposing defense.  He is also quite the character, recently messing with a stenographer from a post-game press conference…

Just wanted to get everybody’s opinion on him and where he might be showing up on draft boards in 2016? I think he can sneak up into the lottery next year when he becomes the man in Wisconsin!

That was funny.  His reaction to the hot mic is priceless.

Kind of reminds me of a former Wisconsin player alando tucker in a way. Has made the transition from an inside player to more of a wing this year. Should get a chance to be more of a featured guy next year so we’ll see what he can do in that role. His ball-handling still needs improvement and although he has shot decent from the college three this year he could probably stand to continue to improve in that regard. Don’t really see him as much of an NBA prospect right now, but could play himself into consideration within the next couple years. I doubt that he’ll ever be a lottery pick though.

I believe that in a couple years he could fit into a Draymond Green type roll with a couple teams.  He is really a small combo forward who will have to play a stretch 4.  The improvement in this guys game has been tremendous.  His shooting and ballhandling are much improved this year.  His defense needs some improvement yes, however physically he may never be a great defender and will need to be an expert rotational defendder in the NBA to succeed.  He’s chrasmatic and has an all around game much like Draymond.

I swear that is exactly the play style I saw when I watched him. It all depends on his motor.

Really like his game and I have seen him play a lot the last two years.  Super efficient with excellent footwork and rarely makes the wrong play.  Has really increased the range on his jumper.  He is not an off the charts athlete but is solid.  I think he is a solid contributor in the NBA and agree with Jayhawks 2011 on the Green comparison for his ceiling.
