Every time I watch NAW, my intrigue grows exponentially. He was outstanding against St. Louis and he didn’t score much against Liberty, but made huge plays at critical moments; I especially love his vision and passing for a wing. His efficiency reminds me of a smaller Kawhi Leonard; he shoots 48 percent from the field and 38 percent from 3, but he’s efficient with his movements, too, he doesn’t waste anything. He also seems to carry himself on the court with the calm quietness of Kawhi.

I’m also really impressed with his ability and willingness to finish with his left hand, and his ability to absorb contact; he’s really strong with the ball in traffic; he is going to get to the FT line a TON in the NBA, and for a two or three, he seems pretty adept already in PnR.

I would take him over Keldon Johnson and Romeo Langford for sure, even though he’s a year older. Between him and Jarrett Culver, that would be a tough call. But I bet anyone drafting in the 6-8 range is going to get smitten.

I don’t think Virginia Tech is going to be at all intimidated by Duke, having beaten them already, albeit sans Zion. Buzz Williams coaxes toughness, grittiness, and discipline out of his players. Would love to see NAW, Blackshear, Robinson and co. get them to the Final 4 for the first time in program history.

NAW reminds me of SGA who ironically is his cousin.  Both tall combo guards that excel on defense and attacking the basket on offense.

But NAW shoots the ball well compared to SGA coming out and his mechanics on his jumpshot is better compared with SGA, and BTW they are cousins.

Virginia Tech was my sleeper team to win the Natinal Championship all year, but I dont think they will beat Duke twice in a season. Thats just really hard to do.

NAW is a very intelligent player. Not a very flashy pick but Buzz Williams has a history of molding gritty players and making them NBA stars. Wade, Butler, Matthews. I think this kids next on that list.

    Reminds me of D’Angelo Russell.
