redford4threeParticipantHe is a great player, very underrated passer and one of the best ball handlers in the country. I haven’t thought of a good comparison.

bobbygillerI agree Jorry, Calathes is hugely underrated and one of the best players in the country. Unfortunately there isn’t really anyone i can compare him to, he kind of has his own style

don042488ParticipantNick Calathes reminds me of Bob Sura a little bit. He’ll be a solid pro, once he decides to go to the NBA

OjMayonnaiseI Don’t Really See His Offensive Game Translating To The NBA As Smoothely As Some Other Point Guards, But He Can Play Ball, That’s For Sure. He’s A Good Facilitator Right Now And I Think That Will Be His Strongest Attribute In The Pros.

jorrye24He is a triple double threat in college, a classic point forward. He actually reminds me of a slower less flashy version of shaun livingston. With a better jump shot.

OjMayonnaiseHe Is A Bigger Point Guard, But A Point Nonetheless. Maybe If He Develops Enough He Can Become Sort Of A Poor Man’s Jason Kidd. I Might Be Pushing It A Little Bit There… I Don’t Know. What Do You Think?

OjMayonnaiseBut Realistically I See Him As More Of A Chris Duhon Type Player. He’ll Take Care Of The Ball, Hit Open Shots, And Set Up His Teammates. A Solid Pro.

tuck243ParticipantNick is either overrated or rated just fine. This dude cant guard ANYONE. His basketball IQ is very Overrated. He remind me of a bigger Greg Paulus. Did you see a good game of his and figured he was official? LOL… Its a reason he is off the Mocks. Because he is a bum…………

tuck243ParticipantBefore someone try to get me…. He is solid but the truth is that his IQ is overrated. His ball handling is efficent. I think the reason he doesn’t get any pub is becuz he doesn’t beat anyone. The gators are a below average team.

WildDudeParticipantI’d compare him to someone who thinks hes a Point Guard but is more of a SF with great passing ability… Look at Earl Clark and Terrence Williams, they are similar but neither are Point Guards, although Earl Clark was a Point Guard throughout most of his high school career

IGO4TWParticipantHi guys i am from Greece. The truth is that we don’t get to see too much NCAA over here but because Nick Calathes is Greek they have decided to show us what he can do.I have watched some of his games and i trully believe that if he had some serious teammates around him he could have like 8 apg
I was just watching the mock draft and i have to say that i am pretty surprised.I mean Omri Caspi number 19 in this year’s draft and Nick number 29 in the 2010 draft?I mean Omri Caspi? He plays for Maccabi i have watched him playing the guy can’t be that high in the mock draft
I also have to say that Brandon Jennings is too overrated if you ask me.He plays in Italy i have only seen him playing in Euroleague but i must say that apart from being athletic the guy is not that good.
I really hope Nick stays in college for one more year.He does have to put on some size and be more athletic but Billy Donovan is a great coach and i think he will help him

shipargosParticipantCalathes can become a Bob Sura like don said, big guard, crafty and not very atheltic. He doesnt need to be D.Rose, he can be a pass first and use his iq to get open shots.
I think the key for him is to bulk up, and with his height he can compensate like sura did when he was healthy.
i think he will be a solid pro, if given playing time he could be at least as sergio rodriguez,
My guess about his numbers in NBA ( if he plays 25-30mpg)
10 pt (most on spot up) 4 reb and 6 assists and 0.7 stl

steve calaParticipanti really dont think much of Calathes, to me he’s an okay college point guard alot like Greg Paulus. I dont see his game translating to the NBA
