ChewyParticipantbecause fan voting has worked out so well for the NBA All-Star game. Every year there is one started who doesn’t deserve it, or has only played 20 games due to injury, or in Chinese so he gets a billion votes ect.
This is going to be a glorified popularity contest with kids asking all their classmates to "rate" them.

ropeParticipantHow many people actually see enough of the top prospects to make a meaningful ranking? I am interested in up and coming talent, but really don’t get to see them play very often – maybe an occasional TV game or if there is a kid from this region. Reading scouting reports and watching mix videos don’t count. My guess is this gimmick won’t have much impact. There are too many quality sources for information to depend on this. If you want some proof, check out the rankings of players on Basketball Reference, like Kobe being ranked the 284th best player ever in fan rankings.

ropeParticipantIf you look at his pic and the logo on the app and his number of posts, it would appear he has something to do with the app. Not the worst offense, but it borders on spam.
