I think D-Rose came back as better player after injury. He added 3 ball to his arsenal, which makes him the most unstoppable player now in NBA imo, even if he lost couple inches on his vert,he’s still ultra quick and fast,my early favorite for the scoring title and maybe even mvp

He claims to have added 5 inches to his vert that has yet to be seen, but no question about the speed and quickness it is all there plus some, he’s back and he’s looking very very good.

Yes he added the deep ball to his game which makes him even more difficult to guard. Most unstoppable? Clearly not. LeBron, KD, and others with more size are more unstoppable. Put LeBron, George, and other great defenders who are bigger on Rose and they can cause problems for him. His vert is still 42 and that has shown throughout the preseason as he has soared over 7 footers for some rebounds. One last night was amazing when he leaped up between Nick Collison, Steven Adams, and a Bulls big who I cannot recall and grabbed the ball with one hand to start the break. He has a chance at MVP but I don’t like his odds for the scoring title.

Another thing you failed to mention is his added strength. He is finishing with contact at a much higher rate and simply looks jacked.

You might be right about being a better player but I don’t agree with the most unstoppable and the scoring title ideas.

I do however feel next year’s ESPN player rankings, and almost everyone’s rankings, he will be the 3rd best player in the NBA. People tend to forget how much he dominated CP3, Westbrook, Parker and other points guards on a nightly basis before his injury. With these added dimensions to his game………..SCARY!!

He could shot average from 3 before the injury. If he can become a 35 to 37% three point shooter then he will be unstoppable and age pretty gracefully. Wade’s problem is that he doesn’t have a 3 point shot, if he did he would be fine and he wouldn’t be having the problems he is having as his athleticism is declining.

If he stays healthy them he may be the only player besides Durant that could challenge LeBron for MVP. If Bulls stay healthy I think they are the 2nd best team and could surpass Heat. They have the size to take advantage inside and as Butler continues to improve possibly the perimeter talent now to hold their own out there.

I agree, he seems like a better player. If Rose can stay healthy and keep up this level of play in the regular season then I think he can challenge Durant as the second best player in the league..

He seems confident and that is key. He has been attacking the rim and that part of his game is going to get better as the season goes along. Combine that with his ability to shoot more consistently and you have someone that can most definitely challenge for that MVP.

I’m 100% sure that Lebron and KD are still scarier. That, and he added 5 inches to his vert, from 37″ to 42″. Can’t wait to see his matchups with Kyrie this season.

He looks as good as ever IMO and to sit out the end of last season now looks a great decision, if he gets back to 2010-11 form then he is a likely All NBA Team choice and an MVP contender.

I didn’t think it was possible, but he looks like an even better player.

    D. Rose is a freakish athlete and a special talent. He went through some serious adversity with his injury and all of the criticism last season. He also became a father. When you go through things like that, you become stronger mentally… Just an all around stronger person. That combined with all of the work he’s put in… I expect a monster season from him.

We have to remember that D-Rose is maturing as a player, he has only just turned 25 and has not played 300 regular NBA games yet. Players will also improve physically in any endurance sport in their mid 20’s and a lot of NBA players don’t reach their peak until they are maybe 27/28.

I would say that the likes of Kobe, LeBron, Melo, Tim Duncan to name a few were better players at 27/28 than at 23 to 25, so we could well have more upside from the likes of D-Rose and KD to come.

Rose looks to have maintained his elite athleticism and as he matures as a player he will refine his game and know just the moment to go up a gear and his all round game will probably get even better than it is now.
