d-ravParticipantPG; Devin/
SG; Lee/ Morrow
SF; T-Will/ Outlaw
PF; Favors/ Damion
C; Lopez/ Boone/PetroThe Nets have themselves a young nucleus that probably only requires continuity before they start making some serious noise. Although a proven superstar at the perimeter (Danny Granger?) would quicken their development pocess. Also a backup point guard would be handy (Ridnour/Earl?).

IndianaBasketballParticipantI wouldn’t call Danny Granger a superstar… I’d say he’s an All-Star or borderline elite player. Not a superstar though. That term is thrown around too loosely nowadays.
They overpaid for Travis Outlaw (good player, but not worth $35 million) and tried to overpay for Tyrus Thomas (blessing in disguise the Bobcats matched), but I do like what they’ve done this summer. Favors and James were good picks. Morrow was a very good signing. Avery Johnson was a great pickup at coach.
They still won’t be a very good team next season, but it’s headed in the right direction. IF Favors can be as great as scouts think he can, that front line of Lopez and Favors is going to be tough to deal with in a few years.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI’ll say this the Nets will win more than 12 games next year. But with that young roster, I don’t know if you will top 30. With how much money the Nets had this year, I expected them to go out for a major free agent. Like Rudy Gay, or Amare, Booz, or Bosh. You can still add Richard Jefferson or Shaq to your roster. These 2 could very valuable signings as they could add experience and depth to your roster, something very valuable to have with such a young team.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI really like what they’ve done. They just added so many solid pieces, some really good, versatile ballplayers. You look at last year, the next crop of of guys they looked to to score after Lopez, Harris and Lee was Yi, Keyon Dooling and…God knows who else. They might have struck out with the big fish, but they’ve gotten Outlaw, a very versatile wing, Morrow, the best shooter in the league IMO and one of my favorite players, in addition to Favors and James, who looks like he’ll contribute immediately, and they still have like $22 million in cap space. If they add a guy like Scola, they’re a playoff team I think.
But yeah, I would go after Granger. Because of TWill’s versatility, and the fact that there are some decent distributors still available (Luke Ridnour, Kyle Lowry), I would definitely offer Devin Harris and Courtney Lee and a couple first-round picks for Granger. I don’t know if the Pacers would go for that, but then the Nets lineup could possibly be:
Ridnour
Williams
Granger
Favors
Lopezwho’s gonna wanna play that front court? And with a bench of Morrow, Outlaw, James, just as is, that’d be a really good team.

dmo21ParticipantWho would they be looking at for a starting pf role in free agency this year? I was looking at the list and these are my possibles, in no order:
Leon Powe, could take a chance on him, he has been injured a bit and favors could easily take over when he is ready..
Luis Scola, solid player and could help out Favors, Prokov wanted some international flavour, so here it is, can start and play until he is gone.
Udonis Haslem, solid player all around, good team player and works very hard.Best bet would be Scola, I think.

Screams 25 wins to me, though I am willing to go as high as 30 because I like Brook Lopez.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAgreed. I don’t know how good this team is. I’m willing to go to 35 wins.
They banked on adding a superstar and it didn’t happen. I will say this though, if Denver decided to move Carmelo? I think they could be the frontrunner with all that young talent.
