Am I crazy but , did i read that the Nets might be interested inNENE or Tyson Chander? The one position they have locked up. Is there more to the story?

They feel that Lopez is agile/comfortable enough outside 10 feet that they can put another guy beside him. Nene is also agile enough to play next to a 7-footer, and is probably the most all-around attractive free agent. They probably feel that Chandler could change the defensive culture of the team like he did in Dallas and provide toughness next to a really talented but soft big man. They need to impress Deron even before landing Dwight and as Lopez is their best trade chip they could use another big man anyways, with no wings or sf’s with the game-changing/star potential of Nene or Chandler. That’s just what I gather.

If we do go that route, I would prefer Chandler over NENE, because he is very defensive minded & versatile.

Does it really shock you that they are looking for a 7 footer that actually plays like he is tall??  Lopez is hell bent on being a PF and not a C so they are going to look for someone to at least intimidate the other team.. You think anyone is scared of Brooke Lopes??? Nah… Are people scare of Chandler?? Probably.. Are people scared of Nene?? Yes…

Lopez has a great touch but there is no way that he is a 4 man,there are too many 4’s that will kill him on the perimeter. He is a back to the basket 5

 Obviously being that the Nets are from New Jersey, they are going to do things that don’t make any sense. i.e. flipping tables, being a*sholes, being insecure  scum bags. Don’t worry, they are just born and raised in a different culture. "It’s a JERSEY thing".
