Can someone tell me who was his shooting coach last season? I know it’s a small sample, but he’s 9/9 from the stripe in the Summer League. Last time we saw him he shot 53%. All I have in my head is “Happy learnt how to put…..uh oh!”

I have been saying all year when I went to sixers game noel was the first one on the court getting up shots hes better but its easy to hit shots when your the only one on court I think he has a personal coach and brett brown is his head coach who has player development exp.

I would like to see him nail a 10 to 15 footer in game but that’s the next step that would open up a offensive game for him because hes quick enough to blow by if they start fearing his shot.

he really impacts a game imagine in 3 to 5 years when hes added the strength and weight he needs to get to 240- 250 ish

I too want to see him hit a 15 foot jumper, but his shooting form has clearly improved. I am a huge fan, but I would be shocked if he EVER got to 250 pounds. He doesn’t need to though.

235 or 240 is probably perfect for him. I just love seeing him being so physically healthy and active. He looks very spry and confident, which means to me that the Sixers were right in keeping him out longer than he wanted to. He probably could have played the last 10-15 games of the season, but I am really glad that they waited.

Brett Brown worked with him all last season. Even if its a short sample, its very encouraging.

Noel has a bright future ahead of him. I feel like he’s already a lock to be a defensive stud, he’s so quick off the ground and his hands are really quick. Guy is gona rack up the blocks and steals.

He’s going to average 15 10 and 2.5 this year if he gets minutes

I think more realistic totals would be 13 PPG, 7 RPG, 2 BPG, 1.5-2.0 SPG, and a lot of turnovers

I know hindsight is 20/20, but he should have gone first in last year’s draft.

The CAVS should have taken NOEL #1. He would have been just as effective as Bennett without even playing. Can you imagine a lineup of Kyrie, Wiggins, Lebron, Noel, Anderson V? You would have length, speed, youth, agility. Dangerous lineup.

To answer people saying the Cavs should of taken him, I’ve read that Cavs doctors didn’t approve of his medical reports.  He’s had 2 torn acls by age 19 so we’ll have to wait and see.  From what I’ve seen in summer league though he is better than people think on offense and his ability to get steals as a big man is amazing.  This guy is going to rack up a ton of steals/blocks if he stays healthy.

      Noel’s had 2 torn ACL’s by 19?

this is the first time im hearing this. This would’ve been brought up like 100 times leading up to the draft. You have a link to this?

He apparently had another knee injury to the same knee in Highschool, but it wasn’t his ACL and he didn’t have surgery. I read that there was some speculation that improper healing of that injury may have contributed to the ACL injury last year.

If he can knock down a 15-18 footer with the balance of what he does he’d be Serge Ibaka and then some.  If you can pair that with a healthy Embiiiiiid – be afraid – be very afraid

This year is going to be a real learning experience for Noel and Joel (he’ll be in the gym recovering and adding strength and touch on his jump shot)

I think Noel has a very good year, something like

        8ppg-8rpg-2apg-2bpg-1spg

More than 8 PPG I think. If he played anywhere else that sounds about right but Philly’s fast pace and lack of talent mean a lot more shots for him. I mean Henry Sims averaged 11.8 PPG in 26 games in Philly and he doesn’t have the talent or athleticism of Noel and wasn’t a college scorer(5.8 career PPG in 3 years at Georgetown)

he’s skinny as a rake. Let’s not forget how deceptive Summer League is.

On that note- anyone been keeping up with Mitch McGary? Leading the break, throwing down dunks- dude looks impressive! (but in the real world, he’ll probably get 8 mins a game. life is not summer league).
