AE4threeParticipantI did an analysis of this year’s combine to determine the: best/worst performers, most overvalued/undervalued potential picks, most overrated/underrated picks, and best/worst picks.

Arc12345ParticipantLook, I understand Sexton opted out of athletic testing, but did you watch a game this year? There’s no way he would’ve tested poorly or towards the bottom of athletic testing. To assume negative athletic performance because he opted out is a little perplexing.
To have him ranked closely witb someone like Trae Young who certainly wouldn’t have blown the combine out of the water is a poor analysis. He measured 6’1 and if you watched him play, I definitely would’ve assumed bigger. To me, that just screams his high level athleticism makes up for his smaller size.
I do agree with your analysis of people like Alize Johnson, Jontay Porter, etc. Being risky picks based on their athletic performance.
Also, I think Rawle Alkins is a great player and will be a great player, but lowest bust potential in the draft? Don’t think so. There have been more talented players who bounced out of the league than him. Again I think he’s s good player and will do well, but to say he’s the safest pick doesn’t make sense to me.

AE4threeParticipantObviously combine results only tell a small fraction of how a player will do in the NBA so these won’t be the only metric to evaluate ability. If you read how value and ratednes were calculated it makes complete sense why RA would be a safe pick because he outperformed his ranking to the greatest extent. Again, let me say that’s these results should be taken with a grain of salt as they only rely on imperfect and incomplete measurements. Also, the amount of games watched is irrelevant because this analysis doesn’t not take into account anything but combine performance. This analysis is an unbiased evaluation of what occurred at the combine.

HitsterParticipantInteresting article. I wonder if Bruno Fernando may stay in, he is projected to be a top 10 guy next season so could well go top 20 if he declared this year.
