lakeshow22Participantlooking back at brooks senior year at providence when he dropped 52 points on #9 ranked norte dame on a ridiculous 20-28 shooting which broke a Big East record for points and filed goals made. Brooks 52 points was the most by any player who played in the Big East in 30 years and they have sent 100s of players to the pros in that span. Everyone seem to call him a chucker when he shot almost 50% from the field while always being doubled team in the most competitive conference in the country and still put up 25ppg. As draft express put it “as big-time wing scorers who can create their own shot and shoot 50% from the field don’t grow on trees”.
Looking back what made Jimmer a top 10 pick and brooks fall to the 20s when brooks was the more proven college player?
Will we ever see a guard drop 50+points on a top 10 team again or make 20 field goals?

BasketballJunkie224Participantit was a really good game for brooks, it was an excellent season for him. IMO his senior season is his claim to fame. will never be a decent nba player

surveParticipantPretty impressive. In regards to the NBA, you have to be able to do more than score and thats his problem. Remember Harold Miner and Isiah Rider? they were better scorers than MarShon and much more athletic.

CheddaGettaMarshon Brooks can easily be a top SG if given the right team and situation. College career has nothing to do with how u do in the NBA. Come on guys, how many times do you have to see it? He has Kobe written all over his game. HE’S NOT KOBE!!! But he’s patterned his game after him and u can see it. Hopefully he gets traded. Joe Johnson will always play 30+ minutes.

JNixonParticipantThat game was impressive. Notre Dame was a nice team that year, even if they werent good defensively really. Brooks was a great mismatch because he played alot of PF in college and Providence played a fast pace so it gave him chances to put up shots/inflate stats. But it was still impressive to get that many points no matter what, Brooks can definitely score it
