nick5354ParticipantWest:
– Russell Westbrook
– James Harden
– Klay Thompson
– Chris Paul
– Kevin Durant
– LaMarcus Aldridge
– Tim DuncanEast:
– Jeff Teague
– Kyrie Irving
– Jimmy Butler
– Dwyane Wade
– Bosh
– Paul Millsap
– Al HorfordPretty big snub with no Boogie IMO. Duncan got in pretty much due to name and legacy. I love the big fundamental as much as the next guy but come on, definitely needed to make room for Boogie.
Kobe is out, Wade just got injured, Melo is unsure, so I am sure some snubs will get in due to injuries.
Also Lillard missed out in the tough West
Who else are your players stiff to miss out?

CameronCrazy11ParticipantHoping Brandon Knight gets to take D-Wade’s spot if he’s still injured through All Star break, he deserves it

doubledribblerParticipantGoing only by the reserves. I would swap out Wade and Bosh for Knight and Vucevic. In the West I would swap out Durant, Westbrook and Duncan for Ellis, Cousins and Lillard.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantAww, no Vucevic. That’s gotta be the most disappointing for me. 19.5 PPG, 11.2 RPG, 54 FG% and 77 FT%. Sure we have a terrible team but he’s play out of his mind. IMO should have gotten in over Horford.

IndianaBasketballParticipantKevin Durant is Kevin Durant, but he’s only played 21/46 games… He’s been great when he’s played, but he’s missed over 50% of his team’s games. Even with the fan voting, he finished 5th in the voting for forwards. Durant has been great when he’s played and I think he’s the second best player in the league when healthy, but when you play in less than 50% of your team’s games, you should probably sit out.
I know the coaches want to reward winning, but come on… Tim Duncan is having a very good season, but there’s no way in hell he’s having a better season than DeMarcus Cousins. It’s not Cousins’ fault that the Kings have an incompetent front office. Cousins is arguably the best big men in the game right now.
It’s crazy to see Damian Lillard not make the All-Star team… I think he’ll be Kobe Bryant’s injury replacement though.
I don’t have a problem with the East. You could argue strongly for Nikola Vucevic, but wins and losses hurt him. You can’t blame the coaches for going with Al Horford and Chris Bosh.
I think the Dwayne Wade’s replacement will be between Brandon Knight and Kyle Korver.

sitlbitoParticipantOkc was 3-15 whithout their 2 stars,so if the all star game values “valuable” players then RW and KD have to be in it. ‘ve never been a fan of DMC,so I’m not that mad he isn’t in there, but don’t forget that there may be another position to fill, that of Lamarcus Aldridge, who may not want to play with an injured thumb. Itsvictoroladipo:Have you actually seen Horford play on multiple occasions?

HitsterParticipantHorford has been voted in before so the coaches rate him. Millsap was always likely to get in too. Al Jefferson if he had played a full season must surely have also been in contention.
It would be nice to see a Bucks player recognised too this year so Knight may have a chance if D-Wade has to pull out.
Out West I cannot really argue with the guys chosen, it was more who had to be left out. DMC is unlucky again but KD is the reigning MVP and when he has played is producing great form. Aldridge is now an All Star regular so deserves his spot as he’s having one of his best seasons. Tim Duncan may be a bit of a nostalgia pick but Dirk has missed out so it’s not like the same guys always get in, likewise D12 was overlooked although he is now injured.
Thompson, CP3 and especially Harden had to be in so it possibly came down to Lillard and Westbrook but with Kobe being out Lillard will likely get his spot.

Moon RiverParticipantIt is tough with 3 Hawks already on the East, but would love to see Korver in as well.

myers3425ParticipantMarc Stein just reported that Cousins will be named the replacement player for Kobe. I was glad to hear this because he deserves to be in.

IndianaBasketballParticipantSo they picked Duncan over Cousins primarily due to wins and losses. But now they select Cousins over Lillard for Kobe’s replacement? Do the wins and losses not matter for Lillard? The Blazers have double the Kings’ wins.

sitlbitoParticipantFrom what I’ve heard Silver picked Cousins because coaches rate players from 1 to 3 at each position, and Cousins had a better overall “rating” than Lillard. In other words he was “the 13th” all star, which also means he was closer to the all star game than Lillard.
