TRC1991Participantchris bosh is one of the most disliked NBA players but he’s one of my favorite players for a few reasons:
1) he wants to win. it was evident by his tears after they lost to dallas in game 6…guy has a ton of heart..heat haters are gonna bag on me for this but i actually felt legit sympathy for him…money aside, this guy truly wanted it- and he played great in the finals
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDZROnNqd4E
2) he plays hard. he’s not the strongest player and his right hand is sort of useless but he battles and plays good 1 on 1 D
3) he came in and accepted his role as the #3 guy. still was an all-star, still averaged 18, 8 and shot 50% from the field

MCRIZZParticipantNot just cause Im a huge demar fan but giving the guy a 69? I think that is the biggest snub
(hell barbosa is a 71)

JNixonParticipantSo Rudy Gay is rated higher than Dirk. Ha.

JayhawkFan23ParticipantHow is stephen jackson’s rating better than chris bosh!?

BigDParticipantI think people are looking too much into overall ratings, has little to no effect how they actually play in the game, Dirk will still be Dirk, DeMar will still be DeMar.

M-DYMESParticipant2k12 reps have stated before that the meanings are not meant to rank players 1-100 or whatever. The overall rating is only derived from a combination of their individual ratings. So while Dirk may be an 85, offensively he is one of the most dominant players in the game. But his lack of D and overall athleticism make him only an 85.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI’m still wondering how Kenny Smith has a higher shoot-in-traffic rating than LeBron and D-Wade. I’m also wondering why a 34-year-old Dr. J has a 99 in dunking.

Malik-UniversalParticipantwhen i bought 2k11… i hated the ratings so much, i re-did the ratings for every player
it took like four days tho… so just do that if u guys dont like it… even tho it takes a long time

immaletufinishbutParticipantjohn wall better than tyreke evans and steph curry?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 10/09/2011 - 10:52am #603196
kngojcParticipantThe ratings will change if/when there is a season when they see how everybody has improved or not playing to expectations. DeMar being a 69 is some bull. I don’t even have the game but seeing those kinds of ratings turns me off from buying it. But I’ll still buy it anyway lol maybe once they get the rookies in there.

Hi its BenParticipantThe reigning MVP of the league is only a 92???? what the heck is that?

M-DYMESParticipantFor 90% of the people still &$#%#&@! about overall player ratings…plz see my previous post and re-read.
Come here and complain about the seperate ratings if they are that unjust. I think you will find that if you look at players specific ratings as opposed to their overall, you will find far less to complain about.
Ex. Dirk’s shooting is off the charts despite his 85 rating.
Wall’s speed/athleticism is great despite his 82 rating.
Judge the players by their true skill sets, as opposed to an overall rating composed of every rating.

rileymcshea3ParticipantYeah M-DYMES is correct but seriously these are pretty bad ratings
like how is Millsap gonna have the same overall as Bosh does? Bosh is more athletic, better rebounder ,better shot blocker, has a better jump shot and there about even scoring inside so having them have the same overall doesnt add up

PyronParticipantlooks pretty even to me.. real stats don’t lie
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/11/2011 - 12:37pm #603412
IndianaBasketballParticipant^^^ It looks even to you, huh? ^^^
Millsap had a very good season, but Bosh had an equal season while playing with arguably the two best players in the entire world. IF that looks even to you, then you need glasses dude lol.

PyronParticipantyeah but remember we’re talking about 2k stats here bro. i’m from toronto so i’m familiar with bosh’s game.
rating wise i was showing the other dude which route the 2k guys might have gone to determine both player’s stats. like it was mentioned earlier how gay is rated higher than dirk… they don’t take the player’s team into account for ratings
so with that said… yeah it does look even to me statistically and can support millsap and bosh’s 2k ratings

rileymcshea3ParticipantI bet no one would take Paul Millsap over Chris Bosh and 2k knows that
0 - Posted on: Thu, 10/13/2011 - 12:41pm #603643
MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantIf Bosh was playing for the Jazz he would have averaged the same as he did back then with the Raptors around 24 -11 and the undisputed star of the team
0 - Posted on: Sun, 10/30/2011 - 10:31am #605923
aamir543ParticipantBosh is obviously better than Millsap, although Millsap isn’t as far behind as we think he is.
He is undersized, a bit of a tweener, but Millsap is very good third option on a good, solid playoff team, as evidenced in 09 and 10 with the Jazz.
However Bosh is the number one option on a decent team, a third option on a legendarily great team.
