    Just a little constructive criticism.

Burks goes to high, Kanter and some others are a better fit for the Wolves.

    Buford goes too high.

Perry Jones doesn’t seem to be the type of player the Jazz would go after.

I don’t think Sullinger drops that far.

Hmmm…I actaully think Burks is an amazing fit for the T-Wolves and could even fit better then kanter. kanter is projected to do alot of the same things Love does, and Burks would be a nice player to have and mix up the game a bit with Beasley jacking up jumpers, and Love stretching the floor, not to mentio rubio potentially running the break out there. I like that alot.

Thats about where it ends thou, the rest of the draft is pretty messed up. Hamilton 10th? Not a chance.

They would have a logjam on the wing with Burks, Johnson, Beasley, Webster, Hayward (sp?), and Ellington. I just don’t think they draft a wing unless it’s Barnes. The only thing that Burks really brings them is a guy who can slash and create, instead of a bunch of shooters. I also don’t think he is good enough to go top 3.

To be fair Webster has lost explosiveness since earlier in his career and is not the player they thought he would be. Ellinton and Hayward arent really NBA rotation calibur players. That would really leave Burks, and Johnson fighting over that SG spot and Johnson is not a true SG in this league.  Beasley IMO should come off the bench anyways but this selection would still have him starting. I fixed my mock draft and put Burks at 3rd overall. I feel like he can creep up the draft boards similar to how Westbrook did, with some good workouts, showcasing the athletisism, and somewhat improved jumpshot that makes his stats deceptive Burks could go 3rd overall. His competition isnt all that stunning and he is the only lottery calibur SG.

Also Kahns man crush on Love and Darko could prevent them from selecting Kanter.

Those are all great points. The Wolves like Ellington so he’ll continue to get minutes but other then that I agree with everything you said.

That statement makes me think very positive of you as an individual. Alot of people would just continue arguing for the sake of arguing, (which is what I sort of expected), but you actually took the time to read and understand what I said. Thanks for the compliment.

No problem. You made good points, and showed me some I hadn’t considered.

I’m not here to knock your mock, because I love the EFFORT & comparisons for some. This how I see….

    • Half the players you have in the 2nd Round will not declare
    • John Henson-Lotto pick whenever he comes out
    • John Jenkins-Will not come out unless a 1st Round pick…..will be a Top 15 player next year
    • Nolan Smith-Played himself into the 1st Round….I can almost guarantee he will be in Round 1
    • Josh Selby-Was considered 1 & Done but faded…..will comeback for at least 1 more year
    • Corey Joseph-Has not played his natural position & will next year….will return to prove to scouts he can play the 1
    • Thomas Robinson-#1 go to guy next year….will not come out unless 1st Round lock which I doubt unless he shows off in the Tourney.
    • C.J. Leslie-Needs to fine tune his game, because he did not show up this year….showed some flashes
    • Malcolm Lee-He will more than likely be 50/50 on leaving

I think this is a good mock. We don’t know who is drafting were yet so really it’s a ranking of the players. I think you did a great job with ranking them.

I dont know if he will play the natural position, he could depending on how good Kabongo is. if Kabongo is as good as hyped up to be he will probally be starting at PG, with Joseph remaning that combo gaurd he has been.

Not to get too much off topic with his mock but to answer you Rick Barnes best bet is to start Joseph at the 1 & bring Kabongo in off the bench.

yeah i know some of the guys in my mock will stay another year in school and it will make some of my second round player to climb to the first, but right now i’m establish my mock on them all, every player who didn’t announce he’s staying.

and to yupyup: i think Perry Jones is very logical pick for the Jazz, they probably will try to find replacment to AK47, Perry Jones is closely in the same molde, with two lottery picks the Jazz could gamble there on his potential and with their building situation have some time to develop him.

as for Burks, i think for the Wolves if they can’t get Barnes, Burks will be the next choice for them, in this draft he is player who has potential not less then anyone, SG is position Wolves has need and like the other guy said it could be redemption for them for not getting Turner last year who they really wanted.

in Buford case, he is a guy i like, he’s just solid at everything, will have long and fine career, i think some team will like him, will want to go safe and pick him at that range.

Very good points. I think you can get Buford in the late first though and maybe even early second. Other then that very good job of explaining your picks.
