I was watching the Syracuse vs. Cincinnati game, and Michael Carter Williams put the team on his back for the second straight game. He made a jumper to put them down 3 and then the next possession with one minute and eleven seconds left, he drains a three. Great game for him with 16 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and a steal on 5-11 shooting and only 3 turnovers.

It’s also worth noting that Brandon Triche started the late rally for Syracuse, by making two jumpers right before MCW made his two big shots. I really don’t see any reason why Triche shouldn’t at least be a second round pick. He is a big combo guard that can do a bit of everything. Shoot, drive, defend, rebound, pass, you name it.

And right after the Cuse/Cincy game I flipped to the Montverde vs.Finley game and Nigel Williams Goss completely took over in the final 5 minutes. Not only did he draw a double team and somehow get the ball to his wide open man beneath the basket in the closing minutes for a clutch pass, but he also drained the game winning three. Finley had the ball with 32 seconds left, but 30 seconds on the shot clock. He just dribbled at the top of the key till the shot clock was at 5, pulled up for three, and drained it. Talk about confidence. Looks like Washington’s getting a good player.

Williams-Goss has been college ready for 3 yrs now. He’s so smart, clever and knows how to use his body to create space. He’s not a great athlete, but he’s a lot like Andre Miller in how he uses his size and smarts.
It’s criminal how underrated he is. He’s rated around 50 in his class now, but if you factor in his potential impact on a program he should MUCH higher.
He’s gonna be good from day one and he’ll be a key part of the program for 3-4 years.

I like Nigel Williams game, he has nice size for the position also. He reminds me of Ramon Sessions

Nigel Williams-Goss was a big deal in Oregon and was playing with older kids even back than at just under 6 feet. Has spent his whole HS career at Findlay, starter for his last three and is just a flat out winner. He apparently impressed scouts this summer at the LeBron camp this past summer and he should be an absolute immediate contributor for Lorenzo Romar. He is not an elite athlete, but his IQ has been fantastic for a long time, knows where to find his spots on the court and has a great attitude.

Dave Telep tweeted that he believes he embodies all of the qualities of a McDonald’s All-American and I think that is a sign of him more than likely making it as Findlay’s representative (that is if Christian Wood does not make it as well). Also thought he had an outside chance of playing in the Hoop Summit as a return to Oregon. Man I am going to hate going up against this kid, knew UW got a really good one. I am not sure how he translates as an NBA prospect, just know he is more than likely going to be an extremely solid college player.

That was a nice looking jumper. I don’t know how it usually is, but in that clip the form looked great

      Props on the video @mikeyvthedon

Nigel is ready for NCAA, I’d be surprise if he struggles next year.

MCW vs Nova….4-17 FG 4 assists 5 TO 8-14 FT. He has shown the ability to be spectacular but he is also wildly inconsistent. He still may be the best PG prospect this draft but I think that says more about the PGs in the draft class than it does about MCW.
