I must say, Blake Griffin is so sick right now (did he really have knee surgery last season?). So I tried to look back at how Amare was before his Microfracture surgery, and they look pretty even athletically to me. Which one were the more explosive athlete?

Most people are gonna say Blake because what he’s doing is recent. But Amare was banging on ALOOOOOT of people as a rookie and beyond as well. He had many many sportscenter highlights so i agree its about even. No clear edge

Not even close. Blake Griffin has the crazy trainer dude. He trains him on a mountain, lolz. I remember last year his trainer warned people this was gonna happen b/c of Blake’s work ethic. He seemed serious and looks what’s happening. We are talking more like Shawn Kemp ability.

I would give pre operation Amare a slight edge but not by much. I think People forget how cold Amare was when first came in.

I don’t think Griffin gets up as high as Stoudemire did, but Griffin is a stronger/more powerful athlete when attacking the rim. I also think Griffin’s second jump is a lot better.

Overall, Griffin is the better athlete.
