Feedback? I think i have some questionable picks myself ie: OG going so low and Giles and Leaf going that high

After the top 2 picks so many Mock Drafts have different outcomes as well as possible trades

The only thing you can do w/ your mock is to go team by team & try to get in their head & I think you did that hear.

For example, I’m seeing a lot talk that the Lakers might pick Jackson or Fox at #2 & they both look like great players but if I was being paid to make that decision I agree w/ you that Ball is just the best fit & the best player based on scouting

Jackson in Phila is not a perfect fit & maybe they trade down or just take Monk or Dennis Smith (I’m reading they love Both players along w/ JJ) but if you are the GM & you are picking #3 how can you pass on Josh Jackson.

And you can just go down the line from there & none of your picks are wild reaches. I agree Giles & Leaf seem a bit high but now that we know the actual order of the teams & their particular needs it could go any number of ways so if Miami sees Giles in private work outs & feels that he needed that full year to recover & that he can regain what he once was that why not take him at #14 – this is a guy many experts thought was the #1 pick.

So good job. I’m so excited for this Draft. I Luv this time of year!

Ball is a terrible fit next to Russel.

Lakers should take Jackson or Fox screw the hometown garbage.

You can’t expect Ball to be the same player he was in College

with his poor pick and roll/pop game if he has one, along with his

terrible defense and terrible mid range game. He is destined to fail

if they take him that high.

People are so enamoured with this guy because of all the media attn.

Yes he is a clutch passer with court vision rarely found

these days, and his butugly but effective stroke from beyond the break is clutch but won’t work against longer better defenders.

to assume NBA defenses will give him the spacing to get off that funky slow release when he cannot & in fact never drives through traffic in the same way also will kill his ability to distribute the rock.

he is Kendall Marshall with a jumper from deep. Nothing more.

You are bitter about Lonzo. Yes the medai over hypes him with his dad’s antics but he is a much better player than Kendall Marshall. Better three point shooter, better athleticism plays above the rim, slow release? Sports science episode on Ball showed he had  .47 second release Nba average was .54, klay thompson’s was .45. If his floor is a more athletic better shooting Rubio seems safe to me

Not bitter, just not a beleiver that his game as it is translates as well as he is projected. I have seen the sports science It is all subjective. haven’t you noticed how he looks like he is shooting on the way down when he is defended well? Maybe it will work if he can get separation better than he has shown ,but the best defender switched on to him and he is toast.

my biggest issue & my reasons for not trusting his value to be so high is the lack of interest in defense, esp playing next to a defensive liability like Russel then add the innability to attack and finish in traffic with no resemblence of any pick and roll/pop game.

How can that be overlooked? what are they gonna do have him dribble at the top of the key for 15 seconds waiting for somebody to get open & if they are not shoot a contested 3? that is the sum of his skillset other than transition dunks via Kevin Love outlet passes. How many midrange shots did he make? I don’t know because I can’t remember once seeing him take any.

My point was Marshall was an elite passer and he is out of the league last time I checked. granted the comparison isn’t fair because Lonzo has that high % 30′ shot.

whoever picks him better be investing in him to be a more complete player down the road, because he is not a complete player at all.

Markelle Fultz or Josh Jackson is the best fit and the best player for the Lakers. I dont like the idea of a Ball/Russell backourt.
