He will miss summer league in Vegas but should be ready for Training Camp. Will his family ever catch an injury break?
I really want for him to succeed.

ChrispyParticipantI hate seeing this. Who was the kid who was the West Virginia kid who was going to be a first round pick but blew his knee out in the final four or quarterfinals? At least this kid got some$$ first. Sucks tho.

XYRYXParticipantMan this sucks and it seems like he never catches a break but it seems it‘s not that bad and considered a sprain right now. I read he can walk in a sleeve and was at the shootaround and people should not panic right now even if this is very unfortunate and his rhythm and momentum is gone for the moment.
He looked fine so far preparing for the season and should be ready for training camp. He‘ll get his chance at one point and maybe this will also help his back getting a few more weeks off too.

tblazer_NZParticipantApparently his back was fine in the practices he participated in, so that is positive to hear.

HitsterParticipantAt least it’s not the back issue reoccuring. Hopefully he can get a full presason in as he’ll need to get some minutes on court at some point.
On a plus note Denver will almost certainly have to take up the option of his 3rd year as they have yet to see what he can do.

Arc12345ParticipantGENETICS! I said this before but unfortunately MPJ will most likely have a serious knee injury given his family history alone. Luckily this was just a strain.
There have been studies done on achilles tears and knee injuries that point to a genetic predisposition. Obviously if you look at his family and siblings, you can see this isn’t simply a mere coincidence.
It’s really unfortunate, because his talent is enormous.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt doesn’t sound serious. It’s smart to let the swelling go down and just strengthen the knee. No rush.
He’ll be fine

The GoatParticipantHes in the best situation. Denver went far without him. He gets to train against good quality players and come back with no pressure to start his career. I think they nabbed a star here, even more so than with Bol. I have him in the ROTY and All Rookie team mix and I think he’ll be starting by the start of the 20-21 season at the latest, its just whether he will be a 3 or 4.
