RUDEBOY_Participantlol..it might seem strange..but most of the great defenders have all been a little wacky…i guess being strange helps motivate you to do the dirty work….

omphalosParticipantYou’ve really never seen that before? I really don’t think it’s any grounds for concern, plenty of perfectly sane players give themselves little pep talks and have other rituals to get themselves motivated. I remember reading an article somewhere about why he did it, and it made sense, but the reason escapes me at this moment.

RafterParticipantThe so called "NBA Analysts" call Garnett intense, i call him a nutcase. It depends which side you’re on, you’d want a guy like that behind you when you’re about to go to war against a team but you’d dread to face an opponent like that.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI do that on the court at times as well. When my shot isn’t dropping, I’ll grab the ball and kind of whisper to it and say "cmon, my shots gotta drop, help me out here" Might seem weird but it realy helps me.

doubledribblerParticipantIf the Nuggets GM truly wants 5 first round picks as I have read on some other basketball websites then he is insane. That’s a lot for a guy that may not stay with your team, especially if you are a bad team. Image a team like the Nets giving up expiring deals, Favors and 4 to 5 draft picks and then losing Anthony. Those picks would be gold for a team like Denver because it would take awhile for NJ to ever recover. Obviously you wouldn’t get back to back picks, but that would still be a lot to give up for anyone unless you have a championship contending team in place.

T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantB-easy though i think the guy is awesome! He still is really weird lol. He yells at the rim and sings to the basketball. But for some guys that there game. I use to talk to the basketball when my shot was not falling or if it kept going the other way on D. Oh and i kissed the ball when i was at the free throw line (yes gross but it helped me haha). And me and a other guy on my team would punch each other in the guts before a game.

GrandmamaParticipantThought Cousins was the topic. Tons of athletes talk to themselves in game. Maybe it motivates them, maybe it helps them focus. Either way, a lot of athletes do this so I doubt KG has mental problems.

JNixonParticipantI remember thinking Mike Beasley was weird when he was at Kansas State. I was watching the Baylor game and he had 44 points and was singing to himself the entire game lol. He really was a funny/interesting guy at Kansas State, and he still is. There is a video on Youtube of him singing "I Will Survive" right before an inbounds pass lol. I love Beasley, he seems real cool.

butidonthavemoneyRon Artest deserves a lot of respect for making that video. The song is horrible, but his heart was in the right place. He was exploring a very real, very sad issue. I remember reading about an 11 year old middle-Eastern girl who was being abused and tried to kill herself by pouring searing hot acid on her face. She failed, and is now scarred for life and she can’t even tell anybody what happened or else she will be punished further. Artest is trying to say that these girls deserve to be treated better.
Things like that are what separates a "crazy" guy like Ron Artest from a "crazy" guy like Lance Stephenson.
Very happy I watched that video.
