ballaj334ParticipantI feel with out a doubt the best comparison of Michael Carter Williams is to Shawn Livingston. A long 6’6/6’7 pg who is a distributor but great length and athleticism, who struggles to shoot the ball but effeicient at getting to the rim. Their games are so similar when i watch them. I understand the site compares MCW to marcus williams but i think they got in wrong this time. Just my opinion however

theprophetParticipantyour assessment is right, and i think everyone feels that way about the style of mcw.

KHAM83ParticipantTrue, but Livingston was 18 on draft night, MCW a few years older. This affects how people views their potentials.

BKGingerSnapParticipantLivingston had already sustained major injuries by the time he was MCW’s age though. MCW has no injury history at all though. I think MCW might actually be a slightly more explosive athlete too than Livingston was in his prime.

ballaj334ParticipantDid you see livingston in his prime? If anything he was a little more of an explosive athlete, i can only imagine the player he would be if it wasnt for that injury

IknoBall12ParticipantI was gonna also say Livingston was a crazy athlete compared to mcW. Still sad that he messed up his leg like he did o thought he was going to be a huge star in LA for the clippers

For_Never_EverParticipantHe doesn’t have the defensive ability a preinjury Livingston had. Livingston could stay with small speedy PG’s. I don’t see MCW being a good defender on the one spot or the two.

machu46ParticipantTo be fair, nobody knows if MCW has that ability yet, but he’s done a fantastic job defensively this year and has picked the pocket of smaller guards more times than I can count.
With his length, athleticism, and good knowledge of how to play/defend angles, he has a TON of defensive potential.
