Which class of McDonald’s All Americans had/has the most talent as a whole?  I really like the 2004 class with Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, JR Smith, Rudy Gay, Josh Smith, Lamarcus Aldridge, Arron Afflalo, Marvin Williams, Shawn Livingston, and many other future NBA players and college stars as well.  Talk about a great high school class.  The game didnt even include other guys like Joakim Noah and Kyle Lowry!!

2004 and 2007 were stacked. 1979 had some great players, Isiah Thomas, Ralph Sampson, James Worthy, Dominique Wilkins, Byron Scott, Sam Bowie, Antoine "Big Dog" Carr, Clark Kellogg, Steve Stipanovich (Kind of turned into a bust in the NBA, but was a highly ranked player), Darren Daye (Austin’s dad), Greg Kite, Sidney Lowe and John Paxson. May not look all that impressive, but you have 3 HOF players and a lot of impressive guys. Imagine them at the time too? Ralph killed it at Virginia, Isiah and James were NCAA champions and a lot of beasts in college. Great class.

1981 had 3 Dream Teamers, in MJ, Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin, but it lacks the depth of the other classes. Still, with those 3 they could probably go up against about anyone in an All-Time 5 on 5. 1989 had Shaq and Kenny Anderson, but again not a lot of depth. 1995 was a really sick year. KG, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Chauncey Billups, Ron Mercer, Paul Pierce, Stephon Marbury, not to mention Robert Traylor, Louis Bullock (who had an incredibly sweet shooting stroke), God Shammgod and Jelani McCoy (also the immortal Taymon Domzalski). That is one stacked class right there, man, filled up years worth of top draft picks.

Really liked 1997 too, with Elton Brand (who I remember killing it at the game), Lamar Odom (who had that pass off Ryan Humphrey’s back for an inbounds and almost had a triple double), Ron Artest (big year for NY players), T-Mac (I do not think he played, but was apparently selected), Shane Battier, both Collins’ twins, Baron Davis, Larry Hughes, Brendan Haywood, Mel Ely and Marcus Fizer. Kenny Gregory won the MVP and had serious throw downs, Dion Glover was a first round pick and Khalid El-Amin was the idol for every short fat kid who played basketball.

Most classes end up with at least a few awesome players, but the depth in the aforementioned ones is pretty hardcore. I think 1995 was a fantastic year personally, that might be the best one. Would be interesting to do an 8 man rotation for each class and see which is the best. I would say 1981 has the best top 3 by far, but a lot of other classes had a TON of depth. Always interesting to see what the kids who play in this make of themselves, but their have been a lot of amazing players that have come out of this game.

2001 Class one of the most talented classes ever, but did not fulfil potential. Dajuan Wagner(one of the greatest preps scorers ever) James Whites (MAYBE greatest dunker ever) Eddy Curry ( Dominant big when wanted to be) Tyson Chandler( The most athletic seven footer ever at that time) Kelvin Torbert (got toO muscular) , TJ Ford, Mo Williams, Chris Thomas (Should be in the Nba now) Kwmae Brown ( yeah I know, but at that time he was that deal) Rashad Carruth (Could shoot lights out but was a knucklehead) Osumane Cisse ( A grown man-injury killed his chances) David Lee ( Great Rebounder) Josh Childress, Cedric Bozeman ( Was to suppose to be the next penny )Daniel Ewing, David Harrison. What made this group special was the potential of the big men, all had great size and mobility.

I think 1995 was one of the best.  (KG, Steph, Chanucey, Paul, Reef, Vince, Antwan Jamison, Ron Mercer, God Shamgod, Tractor Traylor).  That was a pretty good class, even some of the others played in the league (Jelani Mccoy, B.J. Mckie)
