anyone think he’ll be drafted? I think maybe very late 2nd round pick. someone should take him. he has been very overlooked in my opinion being the anchor on Butler the last 2 years. hes a winner and a hard worker and played pretty well against some top teams. opinions?

I think he goes undrafted but probably makes a team through camp invites

No way he’s gets picked, and he probably won’t ever play in the NBA either. The guy is too unathletic to play well on either end.

how his teams, led by him made it alot farther than say an irving led duke.  he is a much better player then brian cardinal and i believe a good team such as the lakers choose him to do all the little things the great athletes don’t like to do. and btw he’s not nearly as unathletic as anyone gives him credit for.

He’s not better than Brian Cardinal at all, and he’s every bit as unathletic as he’s credited for being. There is a reason he gets into foul trouble just about every time he faces an NBA caliber athlete or big man, and why he struggles to get shots off and to make an impact as a one-on-one defenders. Brian Cardinal is a better shooter than him and he’s got a much bigger and stronger body. Matt Howard isn’t an NBA player at all. The Lakers won’t pick him, and if they do he wouldn’t ever see minutes. He’s a pretty terrible prospect honestly.

Matt Howard isn’t a SF. He also doesn’t have the energy level or foot quickness of Najera.

I agree that he is not a fit at all for the Lakers but I do think a team like Dallas, San Antonio, Utah, maybe even Boston would take him just to have a bigger body to be a good guy in the locker room and put in for some energy and hustle. Matt Howard is actually a pretty amazing passer in the post which is why i can see him playing on one of those teams. I think his basketball IQ may be higher than just about anyones in this draft. Someone will take him in my opinion. You cant overlook a guy who is a proven winner. (Im not a Butler fan really but I think its ridiculous that not one Mock has him anywhere)

There are alot of proven winners out there who can’t defend at all without fouling and aren’t athletic enough to get their shots off effectively in the NBA. There is an outside chance a squad takes him, but why? He doesn’t even fit the profile of a Brian Cardinal or Scalabrine, he’s not as big as those guys are. If Howard was an NBA player, he would literally be the worst player in the game, without question.

Nixon… noone said he would be a stud in the league. but Clearly he can play. and I doubt you have even watched Howard play if your saying this. He may be the best passing post player in the draft. His passing from the high and low post is pretty unreal.Hes is a liability on defense RIGHT NOW. but every team needs a guy to go in, do some dirty work, and use some fouls. If you disagree then you dont know the game too well
