Mamadou Ndiaye: The 7-Foot 5-Inch High School Junior off to a Solid Start for 2011-12 Season!!!

Mamadou Ndiaye is a 7-foot 5-inch Junior in high school junior from Senagal who is playing his ball for Brethen Christian in California.

Through the first 6 games of the season he is averaging 22.8 ppg 13.2 rpg and 6.8 bpg.

Don't really know much about him...but...people say he moves VERY well for his size...and those stats look pretty good. He has trouble with his stamina at the moment.....but...should be an interesting player to keep an eye on none the less.

The article was written by Jason Hickman.

Side Note...He has the same name as the Denver Nuggets 2000 NBA first round draft pick Mamadou N'Diaye...except for the '...not sure if they are related...but...they say EVERYONE in the world is atleast 40th cousins...so...who knows...lol

Heard about him a while back

Seems like he suffers from some pituitary gland disorder. Glad he is doing well, but I am not sure about his NBA prospects. Professional basketball, he more than likely has a future, but the NBA is becoming a league where lumbering big men seem to be getting slowly phased out. Definitely a name to remember, even though Ball if Life got his last name wrong.

Well those players never

Well those players never really managed to succeed. This physical disorder is too serious to allow you to live a professional basketball player's life, whatever his age. Basketball is too hard on the joints...

Talking about big men where do the Samhans brothers stand ?....

Those guys never dominate nor

Those guys never dominate nor do they have long careers, but some are impact players. Big Georghe M. was definitely an impact player though he only had about four good seasons. Kenny George would have made it but for that infection he got that made him lose his foot.

This guy should think about getting into a paying league as soon as he can while his joints can still take the pounding.

I bet he and Paul Sturgess

I bet he and Paul Sturgess and Sun MingMing just enter a bunch of 3 on 3 tournaments in small towns and support themselves on the prize money.

The NBA isn't really condusive to players like them anymore with the defensive 3 seconds rule and the 3 on 3 tournament idea would make a great screen play.

I could see it now, Sun MingMing and Paul Sturgess dare Mamadou Ndiaye to try to buy beer in a small town liquor store. The clerk asks for his ID and Ndiaya punches a hole in the ceiling, startles the clerk, throws a wadded up 20 on the counter, grabs the beer and runs out the door. He jumps into their A-Team style van and Sun MingMing floors it as they drive away to the next 3 on 3 tournament.

end scene.

There was another Mamadou

There was another Mamadou Ndiaye who played in the NBA in the early 2000's and I remember Maktar Ndiaye who played for UNC in the 90's. That must be like "Smith" in Senegal.
