Make a minor tweak.....

We are over a 3rd of the way through the season & we are starting to see what teams are truly looking like, I'm asking what is a minor change you would make to your team's roster (small trades) or existing line-up?

Example:

Indiana - I would trade Tyreke's expiring $12mil & likely a 2nd rounder to New York for Courtney Lee. Haven't overly liked what we have seen from Tyreke, he is a little too ball dominant out there, so a guy who has shot 40% from 3 last 2 seasons & known for his defensive ability would be a great fit to me.

(Why it happens - Knicks would shave another $12mil of the books come 2019 free agency when they need to pay Porzingis & potentially guys like Vonleh, Mudiay & Burke as well as going after big time free agent like KD)

Raptors

Even before all the injuries, I figured we needed a backup 4 that could play some small ball 5. Valanciunas and Monroe are stricly big 5s. Ibaka is pretty much a traditional center nowadays, but if the other team doesn't have a true big to go against Valanciunas or Monroe then we have them going against mobile big men, which is not in our advantage. Siakam can play some small ball 5, but he is pretty much our only true power forward (Kawhi and OG spend some time there, but that's small ball).

So a backup 4 that could play small ball 5 that will be cheap (Raptors don't have much for trade pieces) and a good fit is Ed Davis. He's a veteran with an expiring contract with the Nets, so they have no reason to keep him. He's mobile and rebounds very well. Can't spread the floor much, but he can hit a mid range jumper. I loved his game when he started his career with the Raptors. I figure they could get him for Malachi Richardson and a 2nd rounder?

@festar35 You've really

@festar35

You've really changed your mind about Evans!

I'd hold onto him just for the simple fact that we know during the playoffs, teams are going to double/trap Oladipo and take the ball out of his hands. The Pacers need another guy who can create off of the dribble.

I really have, I just feel

I really have, I just feel that the ball sticks way too much in his hands & I really don't like his decision making. I kind of expected a 12-5-5 kind of line from him regularly & definitely a better FG% than 37%.

In saying that I can definitely understand the reason for keeping him as you have mentioned above, but I do feel the growth in Turner, Sabonis & Joseph should mitigate some of what we saw last year plus the improved ball movement of late looks good. Oladipo is getting a lot of catch 'n' shoot looks which he seems very comfortable hitting.

I still have a little hope Evans will figure out where he fits, but right now I think he would be more beneficial to another team.
