ChrischiParticipantHow can you be surprised that they’re losing? They are extremely young. Give them time, they have some talent with Reke, Cousins, Thompson, Casspi and probably another lottery pick. If they develop I think they can put up a OKC like season in one or two years. People totally overrated them before the season started and said they’d make the playoffs. Totally unrealistic.

benoParticipantThat doesn’t mean they lose to every team there is…Yes there young but they could off some wins now and there.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI know things are bad but keep your head up. Tyreke has just had an unfortunate year with injuries and having to carry too big a load. Cousins is still figuring himself out. He’s struggling but he’s still gonna be a star.
If the Kings pick up the options on Jermaine Taylor and Pooh Jeter they will still have about $30 million in cap room with only 2 roster spots to fill, AND they’ll likely have another top 5 pick, meaning they can definitely nab a couple big free agents and have $10M in cap room remaining, plus a great talent with that pick. I think they’re still in good shape. This is how rebuilding works, but I have faith in them.

ChrischiParticipantTwo seasons ago OKC won 25 games or and gave up 20 point leads just like Sacramento does right now. Just face it, stuff like that happens to young, unexpirienced teams. Just stay optimistic for now, the talent is there.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantIs it this ridiculous to think that this could be there team next year?
PG – Aaron Brooks
SG – Tyreke Evans
SF – Harrison Barnes
PF – Kenyon Martin
C – DeMarcus Cousins
Right now this site has them taking Barnes with the 2nd pick so I just stuck with that. The Rockets haven’t offered Brooks an extension, and I’m starting to think they won’t seeing how well Lowry is playing and they’re paying him about $6M a year. Martin’s a very good defensive PF/veteran PF who will prob be worth 1/3 of what he’s getting now. Those signings, along with Barnes, should still leave them with almost $10M. I think they could put together something really good, and let’s not forget they have Dalembert’s $12M expiring contract to use as trade bait this year.

ChrischiParticipantI think Brooks would be a perfect fit next to Reke. Reke could do most of the handling and had a good shooter next to him where he can drive and kick.
