European BasketballerParticipantBochoridis is 6-5 shooting guard. He is 19 years old. If he American he would be going into his sophomore year of college.
From age 16 (like US high school sophomore) he has been playing at professional level in top Greek League with Aris.
He was already playing in Eurocup (2nd level European league after 1st level Euroleague) at age 17.
Reports are now that several big Euroleague clubs are trying to sign him. Euroleague clubs like Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, and Olimpia Milano are said to all be offering him contracts.
Here he is in YouTube.
In this video, you can see him at age 16 (high school sophomore) playing against one of the biggest clubs in the Euroleague, Olympiacos from between the 29 seconds and 2 minutes and 7 seconds points of the video.

starpyParticipantIf this is him at 16 I could see him being a solid Euroleague player if/when he increases his lower body strength, but as of this video he has pretty bad ups for a 6’5” Sg and his lateral quickness seems pretty poor. Absolutely no business being mentioned as an NBA caliber player however.

HandDownManDown13ParticipantHe’s 19 so idk how he’ll develop. But he’s not an NBA caliber athlete as far as quickness, jumping ability, and especially strength.
I do like his jumper though. That’s a sweet stroke, and it’s quick too. If he were to fill out his body and work on ballhandling ability, there’s a chance he could stick somewhere eventually. But no way anyone drafts this guy next year, or for a while after.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantEB, its not that NBA is racist or anything man, its just the pace of play and style is different. This guy is pretty good, his game just doesnt fit the NBA style. He isnt unathletic by any stretch, he is certainly much more athletic then the average person. But NBA is full of super athletes, like LeBron James and Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose, and a lot of these guys you post just simply wouldnt be able to fit the NBA game because they arent fast enough to stay in front. Im sure this guy will have a stellar career Europe, and I will enjoy watching him if he does in fact sign with Olympiacos or Panathinaikos, but unless he can drastically improve his foot speed, he is just not gona be quick enough to stay in front of the elite athletes that the NBA has. And I am not having a go at you right now or anything, I truely think a lot of the guys you post are good players, they just arent NBA players. They are EuroLeague players. The NBA is the hyper athletic dunk everything league, while EuroLeague is a much more skill based, lower tempo game that this guy would fit in. I +1 you because you get a lot of hate, but cmon man, you gota try and realise that not every great Euro can play NBA ball.

European BasketballerParticipantWhat is this nonsense? NBA has some super athletes……..So what?
NBA is LOADED with players that are NOT athletic. Don’t tell me guys that are not great athletes cannot play in NBA because that is total BS.
NBA is LOADED with players that are not athletic at all.
Just like there are some SUPER DUPER athletes in Euroleague. There are SOME great athletes in NBA, not in way in hell is the whole league like that.
You make crazy claims like you can’t play in NBA without great athleticism and this is complete fantasy. Because NBA is loaded with players that are not even at all athletic.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantYour skill level at age sixteen doesnt matter. Its what your development between then and 20 is. I would rather Oladipo now even if he was shit as fuck when he was younger, because he has developed. Whose to say this kid doesnt develop at all because guys like you get in his head saying that he is the next big thing then he complacent and doesnt improve in the next 5 years?
