I really liked him at the beginning of the year, but I felt he was too inconsistant and didn’t use he size advantage the way he should. He is both long and quick for his size. I thought with a consistant jumper he would easily grow into a first rounder after his junior or senior year.

Then I went to the B10 tourney (Neb vs OSU and MSU vs Iowa) and saw Ross hit 3 back to back to back threes. He was active on defense, playing tough, hitting the boards and actually playing like a 6-8 athlete rather than a wanna be 2 guard.

I am really high on him and I think he will really blow up next year at OSU with Thomas gone. Anyone else have their eye of him?

I’ve been on the lookout ever since Slam mag was boasting about him as 7th or 8th grader.

It was very impressive to watch him create with the bounce during the BIG10 championship game against Wisconsin, if he works on his jumper and becomes more of a consistent offensive player he has lottery talent imo. 6’8 very athletic with shot creating ability sounds like a good prospect to me!

He just needs to be more assertive. After Thomas leaves this yr, I expect him to take off as a scorer. He’s got so much talent with his size and length for the wing as well as his ability to create his own shot. He has to supplant that ability to create his own shot with attacking the basket more. I noticed that he’s been playing with more “burst” recently which is a good sign for next yr.

Q Ross is so athletic that it’s scary but he never uses it.He has so many skills but is very passive and soft. That’s how he slipped in the high school ranks. But as far as pro talent he is as good as anyone that was in the 2011 hs class and I hope he does get some shine in the tourney and next season.

    Reminds me of Robert Horry.
