festar35ParticipantI would hardly call the Blazers rebuilding, they only need a bench and will be a playoff contender.

mcbaileyParticipantI wouldn’t really say “they only need a bench.” A bench is a pretty big thing to have. Some teams have been working years to get the right guys on their bench.

Seamo15ParticipantWould be ironic if he went to Bulls, seeing as they drafted him originally.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantIf the Bulls could pull that off, I’d be ecstatic. I’d assume Boozer would be headed out it if it were to happen.
A starting line-up of Rose, Butler, Deng, Aldridge, and Noah plus a bench of Hinrich, Gibson, Teague and a few FAs and/or draft picks would be a very good squad.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantBy the way, I’m also aware that Deng or Noah could be part of a deal. As a diehard Bulls fan, I’m very torn with this situation.

MorseWillParticipantThere’s no way the deal would be straight up boozer for Aldridge, they would have to give up various other pieces and/or draft picks. Having said that, an all-star offensive forward like Aldridge would be a great addition for the bulls

tdigiParticipantNikola Mirotic – the Bulls own his rights and he’s probably the best young European player. Boozer, Mirotic, Teague, Pick 20 for Aldridge?
Not saying that should happen but I think thats a fair trade.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/26/2013 - 9:04pm #806783

J_01ParticipantI doubt this deal happens…Bulls don’t really have anyone Portland would want other than Rose and Noah and Rose is untouchable and i’m pretty sure they won’t trade Noah either. Deng doesn’t really seem like someone the Blazers would want since they just resigned Batum to a big extension.

rabidsnowmanParticipantAldridge has put in his time in Portland. They have had talented teams, but not once have they put together a legitimate contender. If he wants out now, I can’t say I blame him.

AmiableBaller34ParticipantThis is an extremely arrogant statement, and I have no idea how you got a thumbs up. It’s not the Blazers fault Greg Oden and Brandon Roy’s careers were cut short, and you can add Martell Webster to that list too (Three lottery picks all went down with injury). People were talking about the Blazers like everyone talks about the Thunder today, and for a while they seemed like a team for the future. They have still been pretty good at drafting, acquiring both Batum and Lillard. That’s a pretty decent core going forward with LA. The Blazers tried, it’s just hard to put a good product on the table when you’re still paying guys to rehab.

DunksNJordans23ParticipantWhen the Bulls traded him on draft day for Stromile Swift 2.0 I almost lost it. I guess that was the Bulls way of saying sorry for skipping MJ

Sewok15ParticipantMaybe they will turn it into some kind of three way deal? I am not sure of the logistics involved but I know there were earlier discussions that would have sent Deng to Washington for the 3rd overall pick who we presumed Chicago would have taken McLemore with. Chicago wouldn’t have to move Boozer if they got Aldridge because in all likelihood nobody wants Boozer with his crazy salary. The Bulls do still however have their amnesty available and we have speculated that could be coming for Boozer for the last few offseasons.
Deng to the Wiz, The Bulls get Aldrigde and the Blazers get the 3rd pick and some other possible assets. I’m not saying it is going to happen but it would be interesting. The Blazers could draft Oladipo or McLemore 3rd to play next to Lillard and then use their 10th selection on a big man like Zeller to replace Aldridge.

cozmojimParticipantThis is the first article I’ve seen saying Aldridge wants out. None of the media outlets in Portland have reported anything suggesting that. Furthermore if he wants out, and Portland is willing to acquiesce why wouldn’t they pursue a deal with Cleveland? At least they have valuable assets that they’re actually willing to give up. Bottom line blazers might trade Aldridge, but not for what the Bulls are willing to give up.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantGive me Noah and/or Mirotic plus draft picks and I’ll think about it. Until then, I don’t want Deng, Boozer, Hamilton, etc.

CoolidgerParticipantAs potential filled as that duo could be, the reason he supposedly wants out is because he wants to go to a contender. So why Detroit then, who’s even further behind in their rebuilding then Portland is?

cozmojimParticipantConsidering Portland reportedly turned down an offer from the cavs for the 1 and the 19 I think it’s going to take more than picks. Honestly as a Blazers fan I think they should seriously consider trading him because I get the feeling he won’t reup unless the Blazers can make a big jump.

CavFanPRParticipantWhat’s the big deal with LaMarcus? He couldn’t carry his talented team to the playoffs this past season. With Nicolas Batum and Damian Lillard, it should’ve been an easy path to the playoffs even in the stacked west.
What’s your argument, they where “tanking”? Why would they tank for a draft that’s considered weak?

brandonmaceyParticipantAldridge is great and all, but you don’t give up a guy like Noah for him, imo. Noah brings so much to the table. Fits perfectly with thib and that D. Sad my kings got screwed with spencer hawes, I was hoping noah would fall one more spot to the kings that year lol..

TheLastWordParticipantAldridge seemed really happy playing last year in Portland, especially in a few come from behind wins. Not sure how legit this is.

XYRYXParticipantThere is no way Noah will be part of any deal imo. He was by far the best player last year and to me DPOY right with Duncan. Maybe Deng is involved but this wouldn’t make any sense for Portland if they keep Batum.
