If I was the Lakers I would look to do this in the offseason:

Retain:  Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, Luol Deng (won’t be able to shed his contract), Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac.

Big Free Agent Signings:  Lebron James or Paul George (don’t need both) and Deandre Jordan

Veteran Free Agent Signings:  Rajon Rondo, Luc Mbah a Moute, Danny Green

Draft:  Isaac Bonga, Jo Luial Acuil or Goga Bitadze

    2018-19 Lineup
    C Jordan/Zubac/Acuil or Bitadze
    PF Kuzma/Mbah a Moute
    SF Ingram or Lebron/Hart/Bonga/Deng
    SG George or Ingram/Green
    PG Ball/Rondo

    1st of all lol

There is almost an 90 percent chance LeBron joins the Process and wins another 2-3 rings to Tie Kobe or MJ, he can’t sniff a Finals if he joins the Lakers

2nd, why would you James would want to sign with the Lakers when they have Lonzo Ball and The Lavar Ball circus surrounding them, do you not remember the comments Lavar made about LeBron’s Some? Did you forget James’s response to Lavar?

3rd, LOL, why would PG13 leave OKC for a far worst situation in LA? Because he grew up just outside of LA? He’s probally looking yo join the Process too lmao! He’s actually be years ahead of what ever the Lakers plan to accomplish if he signs with Philly and plays off Ben/Joel/Markelle/RoCo and Dario

I think if the Lakers can’t sign LeBron and PG-13 then they should trade for all the best players.  Like AD and Kawhi.  Is there a cap in basketball?… Doesnt matter. They should sign and trade for all the big names.

The best thing the Lakers can do, if they don’t manage to add a big name free agent, is to not overspend on marginal talent. I hope for the Lakers sake Magic and Rob Pelinka have the discipline not to rush for someone who simlply isn’t worth it.

You guys are idiots before mocking or if going to mock give some substantial evidence obviouslly we have a Sixers fan and a guy that has no clue about the salary cap or Lakers cap situation.

Lakers have the room to add 2 big free agents, doesn’t mean they will land them, but it is not unrealistic that they can get Lebron/George and a Deandre Jordan from a money prospective.  Why wouldn’t they try and make a run at those guys as I have said? I didn’t say they were going to get them, but they will try too and those names have been linked to the Lakers.

When did I say go after and get all the best players because there is no salary cap?  Veterans like Rondo, Green, and Mbah a Moute wouldn’t take less money as ring chasing veterans if the Lakers do land two big free agents?  We have never seen this in the NBA?  Shit Lebron’s teams are always made up of these type of guys.  Let’s see Rondo made a whopping $3.3 mil this year to sign with NO on a 1 year deal that breaks the bank, Danny Green is coming off a big contract (4 year 40mil) but he is over 30 now and has been declining for past 3 years so he will not get a big payday, and Mbah a Moute made a whopping $2.1 mil this year on a 1 year deal to ring chase with Houston again like Rondo he is breaking the bank.

Easy Coach. I was just having some fun.  The Lakers will always draw talent because they have a rich history of winning but more importantly are located in sunny Los Angeles were you can market your brand, drive a convertible year round and mingle with the stars.  If you manage to get pkayers to come there it will be with the intention of winning.  You will need players who can D it up without being ball dominant.  By by Ball.  Sell that to Magic

Philly could get a 4peat with LeBron.

If they miss out on the stars, play it smart, maybe bring IT back for around 9 million, resign Randle for about 15-16 mil, and through about 10 a year on a 1+1 at DeWayne Dedmon. Let the kids figure things out one more year. Honestly, another year of doing it themselves and not having a star to bail them out would do wonders for their long term development. It would also give Magic and Rob and little more time to see what they have.

But my deeper concern is the stability of the organization – this is 5 straight years we’ve been out of the playoffs

So far I like a Lot of what Magic has done to clean up the mess that Micth Kupchak & Jim Buss left behind

I like that Magic has stuck w/ Luke Walton & the Lakers have a style of play

I like Lonzo Ball – it was unfair to paint him as a Super Star who was going to fall out of the sky & lead the team to the playoffs – I Still believe Markelle Fultz & Lonzo Ball are the 2 best players in the 2017 Draft & time will bear that out (in my opinion)

I think Lonzo can become a Great point guard but he Needs Dynamic talent around him. I like Brandon Ingram & I think he can become a really good NBA Strarter so if we can get a Stud Max Free Agent in either 2018 or 2019 I think we’ll be on the right track

I’m actually leaning toward Waiting until the 2019 Fee Agency & going after Boogie Cousons & Kawhi Leonard or maybe trying for PG13 this summer & going for Boogie next summer. Obviously landing Lebron would be amazing but our young core is So much younger I just don’t know how that will work long term.

Whatever happens I feel Good about the future for the 1st time in a Long time b/c Magic & Pelinka & Jeannie have put together a strong foundation & now we can go Up instead of going in circles

I’d like to see another season of development. I think their core will be better in 2 years if they play together another year before bringing in max guys. They could look at getting Nerlens Noel or Rodney Hood… some younger guys to grow with. Next year Klay Thompson and all them will be free agents. At that point, Deng has one year left and he finally becomes tradeable.

Randle needs to return. He, Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, and Hart develope. They’ll be a playoff team next year if they just resign everybody. Once they’re a playoff team they’ll have free agent interest.

The lakers have an interesting decision with Randle. He’s really upped his value over the second half of the season and any thought of resigning him for cheap has probably gone out the window.

The plan has always been to pursue 2 max level free agents this summer and Pelinka has done a phenomenal job just getting them in position to possibly be able to do that. It’s no secret that lebron and pg are the two players they are targeting but I’m just not sure they have enough yet on the roster to convince either individually unless it’s a package deal.

If they do strike out on the lebron/PG duo, they have already said they won’t spend money on marginal talent just to spend it, which is the smart approach to take. Where does that leave randle though? If they give him a multi year offer that will likely significantly impact their ability to sign free agents next summer or in future years. And even though he has played well, how much does he really factor into their future plans? Is he even a starter with kuzma on the roster as their likely pf of the future?

It will be interesting to see how much the franchise values randle this offseason. I just have a hard time seeing them committing long-term money to him. I have a feeling he’ll definitely be playing elsewhere next season.

If LBJ said to the Lakers I’ll go there but I want Lonzo out, I bet Magic would have Lonzo on the trade board in seconds!

Why would they add LBJ and Rondo plus with Lonzo you’d have 3 ball dominant guys. Rondo has looked refreshed at NOP and doesn’t need to go to a big name team as he has his titles.

Jordan from Clippers does make sense.

PG13 has probably more chance of winning with Westbrook at the Thunder but may have his mind set on Lakers.

James isn’t going anywhere in the West and Philly didn’t draft Simmons to bring in James and render Simmons useless.

The Lakers might get George, but the odds of them getting a bunch of big free agents without having to sign and trade swap (and they don’t really have anyone that’s in demand) are pretty slim.
