Hey guys so the Lakers have 4, yes I said 4 second round picks… I know its a long shot to get a big time player, but I think this is the perfect draft in where they could rebuild the bench with specialized players ( guys who are good very good at one thing )

Looking at the Lakers last season we were just down right slow on the wings and at the PG spots. Which in turn showed up in the playoffs in the form not being able to stop anyone from getting in to the lane or running three point shooters off the line.

So looking at two mock drafts Chad Fords and Here’s trying to see who the Lakers might be able to grab.

DeAndre Liggins- Lights out on D can hit an open 3 here and there…

Shelvin Mack- Big, Strong PG who can hit a J… 39 vert shows he has some exploiveness.

Malcolm Lee- Great defender, fast… can get out on the break.

Nolan Smith- Can score off the bench, again great defender…

Norris Cole- Big time at a Small School could be a steal.

Chandler Parsons- Big man who could do everything off the bench.

I can see them going with some guys like:

Travis Leslie – Atheltic defender who could develop some offense…
Keith Bensen – Long, athletic big who can run and defend.
Malcom Lee – UCLA players have a knack for being very average college players and pretty good NBA guys.
Nolan Smith – Duke players always defend and know how to run a team.

Most importantly is that the Lakers draft "WINNERS." I have said it before, winning is a skill.  You have to know how to win and expect to win every game you play..

The Lakers have ten players under contract and two more who can opt in for another year. They aren’t going to bring in four rookies, and the odds are that they will either sell/trade off a few of them or use them on players who have agreed to spend next year in Europe.

i really want the lakers to give isiah thomas a chance. Fisher is nearing the end of his career and blake will get his minutes regardless since there is a thin slot at PG. This might have lead to his inconsistency but i would love to see him have some competition and thomas is a warrior and  great leader so would love to see him to play for them.

He wasn’t the best player on that team. One of the two players make the final four, so thus they draft winners?

He wasnt the best player?? I will give you that Butler was the leader and scorer but Ebanks was the leading rebounder, lock down defender, and the PointForward on the team.. He was not a scorer but that doesnt mean he was bad..

Character wasnt even supposed to make the team.. He was drafted to take a change on and then cut.. Turns out, he made the team.. They have a history of winning and draft players that will help support that history…
