valentineWhich of these busts would you take right now to be your starting center?

R-Dot-13ParticipantDarko.
he’s finally making something of his career this year. His offensive game is looking better, hes a great shot blocker, i think all that he was needed to be given was a chance.

Toronto16ParticipantIt’s tough to choose, they are both so great.

mds0549ParticipantAt least Darko is showing some consistancy and has had some big games and good stretches. That contract doesn’t look like a bad deal.

HitsterParticipantIf you were talking equal salary then Darko but Kwarme for $850k may be better value than Darko for $4.5 million.

PureshooterParticipantDarko is actually playing pretty well this year. Not many guys have his combination of shot blocking, size, mobility and skill. Any given night he could put it together and give you 20, 10 and 5.
Of course he could also rip his jersey in half and storm off the court. Either way I’d take Darko.

SteroidParticipantDarko could actually be a starting center for some other teams in the NBA also. kwame is pretty bad. Darko hasn’t panned out as a #2 pick, but he is still good enough to be on a roster and start on a few teams.
There is really no contest. Darko takes this easily.

iguapops420ParticipantUmm. actually, Kwame has been a big reason for the Bobcats success of late. He’s proving a presence in the middle. He’s been putting up a double double since being moved into the starting line and even had 13 pts and 18 rbs the other night. followed that up with like 13-10. He’s actually getting his stuff together as well. Darko could not start for a champion because he won’t stick to just being a good mobile defender with a good passing game. The guy tries to shoot the ball everytime he touches it. Kwame IMO, is going to win and like someone else stated, he could actually still start for a team like the Celtics or Lakers if Bynum were to go down. Don’t forget Kwame is one of the few bigs who can actually guard Shaq,Duncan,Bynum, and Dwight consitently. Darko is getting it together and probably has Kwame beat in upside as he seems to only just now scratching the surface, but for now I’ll stick to Kwame who over the past 3-4 years has slowly developed into what I like to refer to as a Vet Big. Guy who does everything you need, D up, rebound, hustle , and finish at the rim. Kwame is even catching passes this season. Whether or not he can keep it up is to be seen but for now, I take Kwame. Not to mention Darko has never smelled playoffs.
