Kuzma

How is anyone looking at him and seeing anything other than a rising star? The guy can flat score.

Nah Jason Tatum who averages

Nah Jason Tatum who averages 3 ppg less than him is better than Kuzma, Ingram, Ball and 2 first round picks combined according to NBA fans and media.

Context

Kuzma at age 20 was averaging 10.8 points and 5.7 rebounds at Utah while still in College. Age matters!

The Pelicans are going to

The Pelicans are going to regret not taking the Lakers’ offer. Spite is not a good business decision. The Lakers should regret offering it. I’m not so sure about Magic Johnson.

Yes, Tatum is currently the best of that group. Easy. He’d be my top pick too, but not by all that much.

The Celtics let Tatum be the man. Kuzma wasn’t given that gift. LeBron is the man. Kuzma plays off the ball or in the rhythm of the game. He never slows the offense, ever. It makes him a good teammate. Tatum is a better shooter, but that’s the only way in which he’s more talented than Kuzma. Defense is the reason Tatum will always better. Kuzma will never get there on D.

I promise, as soon as Ball comes back, a big winning streak is going to happen in LA. Guarantee. Ball has some strange, non-quantifiable knack for improving teammates. He’ll be a top 5 PG some day.

Ingram is the wild card. He’s a year older than Tatum, but Tatum is somehow like a finished product and Ingram is two years away. I think there’s even a reasonable chance he ends up as good as Tatum. Get him some strength and consistency on D. That Walton lets this forward handle so much with LeBron, Kuzma, and Ball on the court is telling on how he feels about Ingram. The only problem with Ingram is that people hyped him too quickly and he needs more time. Patience.

What?

Tatum takes 13.3 field goal attempts per game, Kuzma takes 15.5, heck Ingram takes 13.5. Not sure how Tatum is the man and that's the difference when the Lakers have two guys getting more shots.

A big part of the Celtics issues is Tatum needs to be more involved, yet that can be hard with all the players and a guy like Irving. We haven't seen Tatum be the man since the playoffs last year. Heck he took one end of game shot and Irving acted like a baby. Irving won't let anyone besides him be the man.

I’ve already predicted him a

I’ve already predicted him a future Hallnof famer about a month ago. Wishing we could have swapped him, Wagner, hart and Svi for McCollum. Unfortunately Neil olshey is too dumb and blind

Perhaps Magic Johnson and Rob

Perhaps Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka are too smart for that. If they really badly wanted CJ McCollum perhaps they'd give up Kuzma and maybe one other player. I can't imagine they trade Kuzma, Hart, Wagner, and Svi for McCollum.

100%

39th rated PF in ESPN real plus minus, 17th out of 91 on offense, 83 out of 91 in defensive rating. So yea if you want to talk about upside his D is an issue, really needs to work on that.

If he really wants to get to

If he really wants to get to that next level, he needs to round out his game and contribute more than just scoring. He’ll always have value as a guy that just put the ball in the basket, and he does so mostly in the flow of the game without hijacking the offense. However, on the nights when his shot isn’t falling he doesn’t really contribute much right now. He’ll probably never be a high assist guy, but it would be nice to use the threat of his scoring to at least create some good looks for others. He kind of has tunnel vision once he decides to drive right now. And his defense and rebounding definitely need to improve significantly. Otherwise, he may top out as a sixth man instant offense guy on a true contender.
