Taylor Gang MikeParticipantThey offered him 1.3 million. He turned it down. Was he right? He’s only going to college for a year and he could be getting money next season. I know he’s rich, father played in NFL but you have to think if he has a bad season or gets hurt he may not be drafted high.. I think he chooses unc or duke but this was a big offer.

SwatLakeCityParticipantMaybe money isn’t a factor to him! He already is rich, his father did play in NFL afterall. Maybe his father is funding his education. I agree he is only staying in College for one year and then going to the NBA. Maybe he doesn’t want to be so far away from his family.

ph90702Going to China would be a downgrade. Emmanuel Musiay fell in the draft because he played in China. He had a chance to go #1 overall if he went to SMU.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantChina is a long way from home and a completely different culture. Extremely difficult for anyone to adapt to (let alone an 18 year old kid). The coaching isn’t top notch and it’s far less exposure than playing for a major d-1 program. 1.3million sounds really nice but I could definitely see why he would turn it down, particularly if its a situation where the family isn’t desperate for income.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantAlso, if you are going to the worst examples, Jeremy Tyler and Josiah Turner.
