Pretty crazy lol. Didn’t think Dame’s buzzer could be trumped the same year. I think they get whooped by Milwaukee though

Was a great end to a great 2nd round.
I expect Bucks vs GSW finals, but it should be great conference finals, especially in the east.

The ball bouncing around the rim before falling in after the buzzer was straight out of a basketball movie.

It was brutal as soon as it bounced up I knew it was in. Kawhi killed the Sixers all series. Offensive rebounds were the reason the raptors won tonight.

Early in the series Ibaka looked old but he was crucial inside and out in game 7. Kawhi hit two other threes off of offensive rebounds that the Sixers gave up out of laziness….One to Lowry with 4 sixers around.

Kawhi vs. Giannis will be a great individual matchup and I expect a close series.

Sixers have a ton of questions to answer in the off season from bringing back Butler Harris and JJ to Brett Brown…but top priority should probably be to get a capable backup center. Monroe was -9 in 4 minutes and Boban can’t play at all against good teams.

Honestly, I think getting another PG is of same importance.

If they can convince DRose to come I think it will be huge for them

I don’t see it being as big a need because Butler can play backup PG which gets him some more touches. Rose would be a nice addition but coming off a year where he played over 50 games and averaged 18 PPG I don’t know if we can afford him if we bring back any of our free agent core.

There are some solid role players who will be available but the Sixers will likely be up against the cap. I would rather keep Butler than Harris if only keeping one is the more viable option to help fill out the rest of the roster.

Lets say they sign Butler to the max…that will give them roughly 20 million dollars of cap space but only 7 players on their roster. I am assuming James Ennis opts in to his 1.9 million dollar deal for next year. They should then try to trade Jonothan Simmons (and a draft pick) and his 5.7 million owed.

So if the Sixers have 25 million in cap space and these are the role players they should look at.

Centers to backup Embiid- Ed Davis, Javel Mcgee, Dewayne Dedmon, Aron Baynes

Starting PF (with no Tobias back) – Nikola Mirotic, Marcus and Markieff Morris (package deal), Thad Young, Al Farouq Aminu, Jeff Green

Possible starting SG – Terrence Ross, Jeremy Lamb, Rodney Hood, Wayne Ellington, Seth Curry, Wes Matthews, Thabo Sefolosha

If they are targeting a PG I would rather see them go after Patrick Beverly…he could play with Simmons or with Butler in the backcourt. He would also add some toughness to a team that could use some.

The Sixers could spend about 10 million (a season) on a PF, 10 million on a SG (or bring back JJ again) and 5 million on a backup center. That would give them 9 players under contract then they could draft the best player available in the first round…then fill out their roster with 2nd round picks and minimum contract guys.

Ideally they would keep everyone and add some depth but it just doesn’t seem possible to give out two max contracts to Harris and Butler…especially considering Simmons will be due a bigger deal next Summer. They are going to have to hope Zaire Smith turns into a good player sooner than later.

Man…I just want Toronto to win it all so he doesnt leave. Huge 360 from me. That shot was incredible. Toronto sports fans really deserved that shot falling.

You know a 360 is full circle and saying the same thing you said before.

I’m really surprised how well the Raptors are doing and subsequently the ended the Sixers hype.

And Leonard putting the team on his back, so the trade worked really well with Green with Poeltl still not being good enough and DeRozan being DeRozan.

If Simmons starts shooting he might not be, but for now he’s still a joke.

I think if Toronto could push an extension in front of Kawhi right now he’d resign. That type of moment builds that sense of community and history.

I’m really interested to see how these playoffs and finals pan out, then what that means for free agency.

ya’ll are prisonners of the moment. If Embiid was 100 % healthy the whole series, Sixers would have won most likely. He didn’t look like himself half of the series. When Milwaukee wins the next round, ya’ll will talk about where does Kawhi land. He’s most likely not staying, unless he wins it all and that won’t happen.

I picked them to win it all back in December and I’m sticking with Toronto. But they really need Anunoby to make it back. Milwaukee is going to wear them out with depth if they keep only playing a 7 man rotation
