If Popovich thinks he’s a star in the making, I’m all in.

But he has terrific work ethic, he went from having no jumper to a very strong jumper. It’s obvious he puts in work, he could be a special player when his time comes

I have always been a huge fan of Kawhi Leonard, ever since his freshman year at SDSU. He has improved every year and honestly i think he can be a future all star. He has great athleticism and length, good size, great work ethic, and he is relentless. What do you guys think?

As a Pacers fan I am happy with the trade. Hill has been a good fit indiana and it is scary to think what our PG situation would be without him.

Same. It’s one of those rare trades that seem to have worked out for both sides.

Yeah I know what you’re saying but what were the Pacers going to do with Granger George and Leonard?

They should have traded Granger. I think they should have traded him last year no matter what, even if they still made the Leonard trade. Now he has been injured and his value is still falling. He peaked 4 years in the league and has had a sharp decline since.

I know a lot of people said the trade worked for both teams and I agree, but I would have taken my chances on the two young athletic and gifted wings over a a guy like Hill. I like Hill a lot, but to me his best role is the one he had last year as a 6th man. George just became an all star and there seems to be a consensus that a lot of people think Leonard could be one too. The fact that the Spurs calling you telling you they want the guy a certain guy, might be reason enough to keep him.

Leonard’s projection to me will be a lot like Paul George’s. I think the team will slowly make him the guy, but just as Indiana have David West the Spurs will have Tony Parker. To me George has a lot more “potential” but consistency is his big problem, Leonard doesn’t seem to have that problem. They are 2 of my 3 face players so I really hope they succeed.

I’m very high on Leonard and think he could be a perenial All-Star in a few years. He already has all the tools together and will grow in a bigger role if needed or when the time is right. I always read that he has a great work ethic and is very coachable but his body language is very poor sometimes and I’m not so sure if the description of laid back judges this right. I mean he has an incredible body and very wide shoulders. If he keeps working on getting stronger he will be a beast. But if I look at Paul George is see a young player who wants to be great and the leader of this team. I know Kawhi has a completely different role on the spurs at this stage of their careers and time will tell if can carry this team or be the #2 sidekick to Parker or who ever. I just don’t see the killer instincts in him he needs to dominate. Maybe he developes them when he is forced to do but Harden and George for example always displayed more of this skills to me. To me it’s up to him where he ends up he ‘just’ has to chose to do it at some point.

Still a very young player with a ton of upside. The only missing parts in his game are better handles and more of a killer instinct.

I’ve always had a lot of respect for Kawhi. He seems very humble, and it’s no surprise to me that he’s been successful.

Kawhi will possibly make a few all star games in the future. He is still very young and has so much more room to grow. He will also make a few all defensive teams when it is all said and done. Thumbs up to Coach pop though, he seems to make everyone that ever puts on a Spurs jersey look like they can play at a high level.Pop and the rest of the staff down there gets the best out of you.

Moe Harkless is the next Paul George, not Kawhi Leonard. Leonard to me, is a prime Shawn Marion, with a better shot.
I could see Leonard avg. 18,7, 2, 2, 1.5 at his peak, with a high TS %. 2-4 time NBA All-Star, would be my best guess. Leonard is a top 5 SF right now, in terms of Defense.
