JNixonParticipantHe reminds me of a taller Sherron Collins, if you see what I mean. He’s not a PG, so I think his role for Kansas will be very similar to he role Collins had as a Senior, when Tyshawn Taylor was the primary PG and Collins could look for his shot more. Hopefully he is more efficient and a better teammate than Collins was this past season.

McWinningParticipantI think the Big 12 is hands down the best conference next year, Kansas, Baylor, Missouri, and K-State will all be top 15 teams.

SwatLakeCityParticipantthe kid can play. He is a highlight reel waiting to happen. Him and the Jayhawks should be awesome to watch.(Selby, Taylor, Morris twins, only need a SF) Don’t think he will be the great leader that Collins was. And Iggy what are you talking about Collins is a great teammate, but Selby, I dont expect him to be one. Will be a ball hog, at least that is what I think after watching the video of him that Bryant24 posted.

scoutguruParticipantI see a lot of Jerryd Bayless in his game. Thing is Kansas is going to need him to play the point position to the best of his abilities. And I agree with you JNix on the Tyshawn Taylor thing. I wouldn’t be shocked if the primary ballhandling responsibilities is put in Taylor’s hands. He has good playmaking ability, a lot of which was on display his freshman yr, and at times this year. He’s really an unselfish guy and I could really see him in that role. From the small sample I’ve seen, and from what I’ve read from you experts, Selby is more of a scoring/combo guy who probably would be best suited in the role in college, as opposed to forcing the PG duties on him as a Freshman to maybe just show scouts he can be a pure PG.

JNixonParticipantDwilljazz8, I don’t think Collins was a great teammate at times because he VERY selfish at times, driving into brick walls and not looking for teammates enough. He was the leader of the team, but he was a rather selfish player last year in terms of how he took unnecessary chances when it would’ve been smarter to get other guy involved. He was a huge reason Cole Aldrich’s production decreased IMO, and he would’ve had a big effect on the Morris twins (particularly Marcus) if they didn’t get so much better creating his own offense.
