He’s torching Duke right now with 26 points 6 minutes left in the game and at a good time with the season endingfor Wake Forest. He is rising up mock draft boards where do you guys think he fits. Consensus late 1st early 2nd? I really hope he stays another year but it seems unlikely. This Wake team has been fun to watch with him and Bryant Crawford.

He’s currently mocked on this site at 23 to the Wizards. If the Wizards end up staying in that early-mid 20s range I’d be a happy fan if we took Collins. Andrew Nicholson has been a huge disappointment and we need depth at just about every position.

I was watching that game, he was doing work but damn if he didn’t blow a huge play in final seconds. Wf pg drove hard and Collins had the inside position for the offensive put back and he didn’t even try to box out Jefferson, just allowed Jefferson to come across lane and push him out of position. He had to have that rebound and easy outback but went soft.

That was a tough play. After 30-points and 15-rebounds he was noticeably exhausted. Jefferson really dug into and lifted him there. Hes kind of a lightweight and it showed on that play as he couldn’t pin down Amile. Needs to add weight he looks like he is 220-230 max.

he reminds me of darrell arthur…he’s comfortable hitting mid range shots and posting up..another year will help him polish his overall game on offense..and work on the defensive end…his stock has improved over the last 2 months…including a recent streak of scoring 20+ points in 10 straight gms…i see him as a late 1st or early 2nd rounder….

Collins has First round Talent but I’m not completely sure he has convinced enough scouts and GM’s to take him in the first. He has a lot of stuff to his skill set along with 6’10 size and good athleticism(Not great). Nice set of hands as well and he is only 19 years old as a Sophomore and will still be come draft night. I’m a huge fan of the work Coach  Danny Manning does with bigs. Notice how much Bigs were improving at Kansas when he was there. KANSAS will be KANSAS but when you look at it closely, those bigs aren’t improving at the rate they would improve if Coach Manning was present.

Collins should consider coming back 1 more year. Learn under manning one more year. He might be able to make a push at the Lottery in the 2018 draft. Will still only be a 20 year old junior in the 2018 draft and will be even better.

John Collins is very underrated right now, he’s younger than many of the members of the freshman class, he could easily rise and go ahead of Rabb and Giles. He leads the NCAA in PER, he makes his free throws and blocks shots. He strikes me as a Clint Capela who makes his free throws, a starting caliber C in today’s NBA.
