Has been impressive the last times I watched the Bulls. I think he will have a breakout year in the near future, perhaps be in contention of most improved player.

He’s making Melo work for everything. He and Deng have him at 10-27 for the game right now.

Jimmy is an exciting young player, and I guy I’ve liked for a long time.

Think he could possibly start at the 2 guard next season if the bulls can’t sign a better player in the offseason? I mean he won’t have to handle the ball to much with rose and Deng out there and could possibly develop into a good spot up shooter and slasher

In my opinion, he could definitely start at the two, but he still needs to work on his outside shot for spacing purposes. Especially since they do a lot of iso with Boozer.

There was a thread about Butler being a starting SF for them next year and possibly move Deng. While I quite like Deng, the more Butler plays the more impressed with him I am.

    Marshon Brooks for Deng ?

    Rose
    Brooks
    Butler
    Boozer
    Noah

    D-Will
    JJ
    Deng
    Evans/Hump
    Lopez

Oh god no. Butler can most definitely play the 2, and there’s really no reason to believe he can’t

Also, Brooks for Deng is a beyond terrible trade. Brooks is a bench player on the Nets, Deng is a two time all star on the Bulls. Brooks is a 1 on 1 scorer, except he isn’t that great at it. Deng plays a team game, does everything to help the team win, and is an elite defender. The Bulls would get significantly worse with this deal.

The Bulls had their opportunity to have Brooks, they went Niko Mirotic instead.

They should have a line-up of
        Rose
        Butler
        Deng
        Boozer
        Noah
for next season and they will be right there with Miami as 1-2 seeds. This team will be the strongest Rose has played with and they would be along way ahead of Pacers, Knicks and Nets as they all have holes to fill. With the return of Rose I can’t really see them having a major weakness.

Butler always just seems to bring it. Haven’t watched the Bulls a ton, but I don’t think I have ever been disappointed in Butler.
