    Not done yet?

Jerry Sloan declared "I’m not looking for another job" when he resigned in February as Utah’s coach after 23 seasons there, but he hasn’t necessarily retired for good.

Sloan would listen if another team approached him, according to a source who has spoken to Sloan recently, and would seriously consider the right situation. But he won’t actively seek another job or have anyone campaign for him. Almost alone among NBA coaches, Sloan, who turned 69 a week ago, doesn’t have an agent.

As a Jazz fan, it would be hard to see him on another sideline. But as a Sloan fan, I hated to see his career in Utah end the way it did and definitely miss him in the NBA. As an NBA fan, I think he brings a hard-working, blue collar mentality to the game that is all too rare these days and would benefit the league.

"Come back to Utah, Coach Sloan. Please, Utah is struggling because you left."

If Utah gets a young PG in this year’s draft or in the 2012 draft and starts rebuilding very well, I think it’s possible that Sloan comes back to Utah. Imagine what Sloan could do with this lineup: Kabongo/Marshall, Burks, Vesely, Jefferson, Favors!

I think he would like that lineup because it enhances Utah’s system and he can develop talented players like Kabongo or Marshall, Burks, Vesely, and Favors. I actually see a lot of John Stockton in Kendall Marshall and would love to see him in Utah when he gets drafted in 2012. Kabongo is also fun to watch and has the best name ever imo, Myck Kabango.

@landshark I would also hate to see him on the opposing team’s sideline one day while I am watching a Jazz game. I wouldn’t know who to root for.

It would be weird to see a Sloan coaching a another because he was the there so long in Utah.

This report is bull. Sources close to Sloan (including Coach Johnson) have said it is HIGHLY unlikely that Sloan coaches again. He won’t rule it out completely, but there is virtually no chance.

On a better note, Kevin O’Connor (Jazz GM) has said the team is looking to build around Harris, Bell, Hayward and Favors. Hopefully this means he’s looking to move Jefferson.

Thanks for the update, but I think they should move devin harris(takes bad shots, and is injury risk), and draft a pg if one is available, and build around only Favors and Hayword out of thier current group. Al Jefferson as you said has to go.
