Jazz interested in Jabari Parker

The Jazz are said to be interested in Jabari Parker to add a bit of spacing that Favors does not, thing is I don't see Chicago wanting/needing Favors but he is kind of a requirement for the contracts to work.

So here is my idea:
Bulls give Jabari Parker & Shaquille Harrison to Jazz
Jazz give Derrick Favors & Thabo Sefolosha to Wizards
Wizards give Otto Porter Jr to Bulls

Bulls: Bulls aren't going anywhere in a hurry, but they don't have a lot of money invested either so plenty of room to take on Porter's contract. Porter is an upgrade over Holiday who has been playing really well, but doesn't have all the tools that Porter does.
C. Carter PF. Laurie SF. Porter SG. LaVine PG. Dunn - Holiday, Portis, Hutchinson (Nice young core)

Jazz: Simply put they get a stretch-4 with little long-term risk. They are struggling this year and Ned to do something to get out of the hole, so this seems like a low risk high reward move given they can cut Parker if he doesn't play well this season.
C. Rudy PF. Jabari SF. Ingles SG. Mitchell PG. Rubio - Crowder, Exum, Korver, Udoh

Wizards: Derrick Favors is at C, he struggles next to Gobert but he is still very big, talented and could anchor the Wizards front-court defensively. Again he is a team option so Wizards could continue to clear some cap space. Also with this trade it becomes simply, WALL & BEAL go out and score the ball, they create the offense the others play D, set screens & hit open shots.
C. Favors PF. Morris SF. Ariza SG. Beal PG. Wall - Green, Mahinmi, Storansky, Brown

I like it

Thabo to the Wiz would be a sneaky good throw in. Good culture guy who brings it as a 3-d player. Similar to newly acquired Ariza. Could do some damage in limiting playing time within their uptempo offense & Wall dishing to him.

I'd rather have an expiring

I'd rather have an expiring Jabari Parker riding my bench than take on that Otto Porter Jr trade kicker contract without getting anything in return.

Porter is a player any team

Porter is a player any team would like. I couldn't be bothered looking it up but there can't be many wings in the NBA with his shooting percentages (at least 50 - 43 - 82) the last two seasons. Plus he does everything else well. I think he could really flourish away from Washington. Is he overpayed? Sure. Is he still a very, very good NBA player? Yes. I think he would fit nicely with their young core of Dunn, Lavine, Markannen and that rookie Center who's name is escaping me.

Wow is this True - the Jazz really interested in Parker?

I understand Parker could help w/ spacing but the Jazz have been successful b/c of rugged Defense & Parker is Awful on Defense & he Admits that & seems to have No interest in fixing it

I just can't see the Jazz adding a guy who Openly does Not give a ish about Defense to a team where you can't even get playing time unless you Bust it on Defense all game

And why would the Bulls take on Porter's contract? That Porter Contract is Horrendous! I understand your thinking - teams like Golden State, Boston & Phila have used their Cap Space while Rebuilding to take on Ish contracts but they got a Heavy Haul for taking on that dead $$$

For Chicago to take on Porter's $100 Million Contract man they better get At least One 1st Rnd pick & a Really good young player

In your scenario the Bulls just get Otto Porter & nothing else - I get that they get to dump Parker but Porter is signed for Longer & he's kind of leveled off - he's a good 3pt shooter on the Wing but he doesn't do much else - Porter Never gets to the FT lone b/c he does not drive off the dribble, he's Avg at best on Defense --- I'm not saying Porter is a Bad player but for an Anchor around the Bulls throat contract like Porter got the Bulls need to get Way more

I don't see the Bulls taking

I don't see the Bulls taking on Porter's big contract when they have that team option on Jabari, unless they get a good offer wait perhaps to near draft/FA time and see who needs to dump salary and what return they can get. The Bulls are in rebuild so won't be top of FA's lists next summer.

I could see the Bulls getting interest for Robin Lopez, he is a solid veteran and a good presence so a play off team could look to deal for him on an expiring deal.

Jabari I wonder how he'd work on an uptempo team like the Nets, that's the sort of team I think he needs to be on to thrive.

Spacing? Yeah, he's a 3-point

Spacing? Yeah, he's a 3-point shooter, problem is, he's not a 3-point maker. Parker is shooting 29 percent from 3 this season. Why would any clear thinking team want to add that?

The Jazz would accomplish more by just having Favors shoot more 3's since he shoots the exact same percentage ... and he at least he gives some effort on defense and moves the ball.

I'll come come back and admit I'm wrong if they do, but I don't see this trade happening.

Parker is a far better 3pt

Parker is a far better 3pt shooter than he has shown this season. He is 34% for his career and shot 36.5% & 38% over the last 2 seasons in Milwaukee.
I think you will find some improvements if he can join a more stable roster with a stable coach at the helm.

The Hornets could take a swing with Parker. He may improve going back to live in Charlotte.

Get rid of a contract like Zeller. The Bulls will take him, they just want Jabari out.
