If Jamaal Franklin come in and knocks down jumpers I think he deserves a few apologies from local, national media guys who feel the need to bash the kid cause he had a bad shooting percentage.

If you have watched any of his games or highlights the only problem he has is that his jump shot looks funny. When you lead your team in almost every statistical category you are probably going to get tired and miss some shots.

Also when you are relied upon by your teammates to score in tuff situations each and every night you will have a bad percentage cause you have to take a lot of shots. The kid was supposed to go in the top 25 but he fell to us and all people want to do is complain cause he can do everything but shoot.

If there is someone people should be upset about it should be Bayless coming back and sucking up all the FA money. He is the one that needs to make sure his shot is spot on cause we could have got someone better to replace him

He has a few more holes in his game outside of his shooting and it starts in his head. He’s an athletic, aggressive player but he makes poor decisions: when to drive and when not to, his decision making as a playmaker, his shot selection, gambling on defense, lapses in awareness, etc.
He’s not a very bright basketball player IMO. When a not-so-bright player becomes the focal point of a team, you can expect underachievement as a team, bad shooting %s and TOs.
He is long, athletic and plays with good energy though. I just don’t care for his skill or mental game.

That type of criticism I can understand and respect, but to bash him cause of his shooting percentage isn’t fair. He won’t ever be the focal point on the Grizz so some of his flaws will be corrected cause he will no longer be asked to do so much
