Let me first say I couldn’t have been more wrong about a prospect. I thought he got drafted way too high and was years away from being ready. That guy is an absolute beast and he is already a great two way player. He blocks shots and gets steals like a boss. He really uses his lank to his advantage and he’s aggressive on d. Offensively he has game he can go inside shoot the 3 or run in transition. He has a serious Chance at ROY with his play and I can see him being an all star sooner rather than later. He’s perfect in today’s NBA.

He was my favorite player in the draft.  You said it, perfect for todays NBA.  He might even extend Gasol’s career if he can take some of the pressure off him to protect the paint and defend.

2017 was a really good draft as expected but 2018 has been extremely solid from #1 thru #12

It’s remarkable how advanced these guys are at such a young age

And JJJ is the Prototype NBA Big – he’s long, lean & athletic – protects the Rim, runs the floor on the fast break & even though he’s struggling from 3 early he can hit that 3pt shot consistently

Jackson is starting for Memphis, contributing valuable minutes & been a big part of their early season success

Glad to see JJJ doing well. I was voicing out my admiration for this kid, hoping for him to land with the Bulls but he seems to fit in real good in Memphis.

Memphis is 9-5 in 1st place in the Southwest Division!! They have the league’s top defense! JJJ is a major reason for their success. A 7 foot Kawhi. He Has great footwork around the basket. A much better all around player than he displayed at Michigan State. After the game last night some fans told Z Bo how much they miss him. Z Bo laughed and replied y’all don’t need me, y’all got that Jackson kid and he’s a much better player than I could ever be!!

Same here bro, I was a Bagley advocate before the draft but now I am changing my stance. JJJ we know is better defensively but UI didn’t expect him to be this skilled on offense. First, he has a very solid handle for a big man. He also tends to use his off-hand a lot to finish ALA Smmons but unlike Ben, his right hand is also nice. Only thing he needs to do is stay out of foul trouble.

I had the guy going either to Memphis,Dallas(pre luka trade that is) or Cleveland so they could cash in K-love while he still had some value..

I quite liked his skill set as a prospect but I had him needing 1 of 2 things or both:

A really good mentor which Gasol and Conly might just be(don’t know as they haven’t had to many top prospects in their prime)

     or

Patience as I thought he is a little raw on the defensive end as he seemed to be a little foul prone.

I see him a little more like Chris bosh (raptors version) than the A.D level player people were comparing him to but who knows he may just reach that level minus the injuries..

This year’s draft had solid depth all the way down the top 10. The best 3 players probably went in the top 3 but the next few JJJ, Young, Bamba and Carter could almost have gone in any order.

JJJ alongside Marc Gasol is a good fit, JJJ’s youth and speed can cover for the older Gasol whilst Gasol provides a good mentor and role model for JJJ.
