I keep hearing this comparison, will Canaan be as good as Bledsoe. Bledsoe hasn’t proven much yet far as being a legit star in the NBA, but alot of people are high on him. What do Bledsoe and Canaan have so much in common to where people compare them that much?

More like A.J. Price. A good backup point guard who can score at a high volume in his time on the court. Canaan is a very good athlete, better than Price, so that will work in his favor too. He’ll play behind Beverly this season, but I think he’ll be a backup for the majority of his career.
They got a hell of a deal on Beverley, he’s a very good good backup, but is slated to make less than a million during the next two years, and Canaan is a nice player to have aboard in case Beverley becomes too expensive after the 14-15 season.

To me, is like a mini Vinny Johnson. He’s a perfect back up point guard that can play with some defensive guys on the second unit.
