“Reports from Chicago about Tracy McGrady’s workout with the Bulls is that he looked better than he did with the Knicks (who have no interest in bringing him back), but nothing close to the old T-Mac. But because he’s suggesting he can still be a starter (the Bulls do have only Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver as their two-guards), a role at which the Bulls don’t see him, there may be no marriage. So we’re left with a situation reminiscent of Allen Iverson a year ago. And even Shaquille O’Neal (who wants a two-year deal for $8 million or so per that no team is going to give him) now. Three former multiple-time All-Stars who think they still are, but are unwilling to realize they’re not any more by settling for less (money and minutes).” Bergen Record Blog

IF McGrady proves to be healthy and wins the starting job during training camp, then what’s the problem? A healthy McGrady is better than Brewer and Korver.

I think McGrady realizes he’s not the same player who used to average 30. He’s not trying to come in and be the man or take over the team. He’s not Iverson… Iverson is an undersized shot happy two guard who can’t defend and needs the ball to be effective. McGrady is 6′ 8″, can play off of the ball and be a distributor.

Tezo, where do you think Iverson will end up?

I have no idea to be honest…

The Bobcats always seem to come up when talking about Iverson, so maybe MJ and Larry Brown may be willing to take a chance on him.

Tracy McGrady’s body is broken down … if anyone thought he even had the potential to still be a starter in this league they’d sign him … he’s pretty useless if he’s not going to accept a significantly reduced role

If T-Mac isn’t slashing or scoring, he’s defending, passing, rebounding, or getting steals.

He’s way more than just offense. He used to be a 32-6-5-1-1 guy.. meaning, he can do much more than just score

Crazy how T-Mac was the best shooting guard at his best. he was a 32-6-5 guy at the age of 23.. he never reached his prime.

I think T Mac is still a key guy to have on your team and I wish New York would bring him back because it would appear that he is more healthy than he was last year and he looked good at time for New York and now he would not have to do much but shoot open 3’s and pass to players like Amare. I also think hey can get 20 plus minutes in Chi town and maybe play a Grant Hill type role like Hill is doing in Phoenix. Teams are giving up on guys to early looking for the future that may not be no better than the present.

AI can only play for some teams because of his style of play so he is harder to find a spot for. T Mac will find a spot. Also Shaq needs to settle for less money and get the big memo that he is not still the greatest.

In the end, I think all 3 players find a spot.

McGrady has two teams for him in Los Angles and Chicago.

Shaq will eventually go to Atlanta.

Iverson is the toughest to figure out. The best team for my money is Miami. He won’t be the dominant personality, he won’t start and The Miami 3 won’t let him moan. Plus, for the price he would be brought in for? He can easily be cut.

Allen Iverson should go to Orlando, he would be great scoring off the bench besides a shooter in Reddick but a scoring guard like Nate in Boston. i think he would like playing with D12 too. what do you think?

Allen Iverson reminds me of a superstar WR.

He needs strong personalities around him.

Not sure what the Knicks are thinking give him a 1 year deal, he’s still a better shooter and passer than Chandler.
Just won’t have the quickness or elevation as him but I bet he still has something in the tank.
