OhCanada-ParticipantRaja Bell goes to the Utah Jazz despote (his rival) Kobe Bryant lending out a hand and pleading the Los Angeles Lakers case for Bell to join.
Utah aqcuires the biggest, best shot blocking presence they have had with this Williams eras group and dont look to be slowing down with trades.
They lost Matthews but Raja Bell makes up for him and some.
They are slowly and quietly becoming a better team amongst all this Miami talk…

OhCanada-ParticipantTheir biggest flaws were size in the paint and perimeter defense and they have adressed those issues essentially swapping Korver with Hayward, Matthews with Bell, and Boozer with Jefferson…

paint intruderParticipantI think the Jazz will be missing Matthews badly, but they probably did the right thing finacialy-wise not to overpay him.
And it’ll be pretty interesting to see how Jefferson co-exist with Deron Williams.
Are his pick&roll abilities similiar to Boozer’s or will the Jazz have to find other ways to use him?

joecheck88Participantyes they could be a better team but it is all unknown at this point, matthews and boozer were vital pieces. can bell, jefferson and hayward make up for the loss of boozer and matthews? absolutely but they could also struggle as bell is kind of old, hayward is a rookie and jefferson has had knee problems. but give it to utah for being a smart team, they got a sign and trade for boozer which helped them get jefferson(trade exception) and let matthews walk because 1 year of production wasnt worth paying a guy 34mil that may not get better(probably will but not worth the risk).
