    PLEASE READ EXPLANATIONS!

Washington get Danny Granger, Indy 23rd pick.

    Indy get Eric Gordon.

New Orleans gets Nene, 3rd pick and a future 1st from Indy.

Why Would Each Team Do This?

Why Washington? They would get rid of Nene HUGE contract and have a ton of cap room in the summer of 2014 to build around John Wall, Bradley Beal, their 2014 1st rounder and other young pieces they have.

Why Indy? Well Indy gets their home town boy in Eric Gordon to help steer Face of the Pacers Paul George past the Heat into the finals next year.

Why New Orleans? They get rid of an (unhappy?) Eric Gordon and receive the 3rd pick(and a future 1st from Indy) to go with their own 6th pick to boost their rebuilding effort. While they do take on Nene Contract they would have had to pay Eric similar money + by the time New Orleans core is finishing their rookie deals Nene’s deal would have expired.

    Likely line ups:

    Was
    J.Wall –
    B.Beal – M.Webster
    D.Dranger – T.Ariza
    K.Seraphin – C.Singleton
    E.Okafor – T.Booker

    Indy
    G.Hill –
    E.Gordon – L.Stephenson
    P.George – S.Young
    D.West – T.Hansbrough
    R.Hibbert – I.Mahinmi

    Nola
    G.Vasquez –
    V.Oladipo – A.Rivers
    O.Porter –
    A.Davis – R.Anderson
    N.Hilario – R.Lopez

How could the pacers afford gordon, hibberrt, re-signing west, and extending george? Why would the wizards trade the 3rd pick for a injuried granger and a late 1st rounder? And without nene, although he’s been injured, they aren’t a playoff team. Why would NO want to take Nene after getting rid of okafor and ariza’s contracts last offseason? And how is gordon who has is on a monster contract and been dealing with injuries and injuries worth all of that without NO giving up anything else?

Are either going to keep and start Lance Stephenson or they will trade him. He certainly isn’t bench material.

I love Lance, but I disagree. He’s most suited to be in a sixth man role at present.

Pacers: A healthy Gordon is better than Stephenson, so I have no problem moving him to the bench as the 6th man if I can get one of the top young shooting guards in the league whose skill set fits exactly what my team needs (outside shooting and scoring in general). So for the Pacers I would do it, would most likely have to let West walk, hope Hibbert can hold ground as the main post scorer on the team.

Wiz: Are they in a position to make a big free agency splash? I think they would be better off with trying to build with Wall/Beal/Otto and filling the rest of the lineup with Vet solid-but-not-great bigs.

NO: I like the idea of having young supporting players like Otto and Oladipo around Davis so they can develop and “grow up” together. I’m just not sure why you would want to try and trade up in this draft considering how weak it is. This move gives you a SF in Otto and Last year you smartly took a PF in Davis. Next years draft best players are 2 small forwards and a power forward, so you could be creating a future logjam.
