JordanShootingJumpers23ParticipantReady to see lamb, PJ3, Reggie Jackson. For the pacers, the return of Johnny Flynn, Ben Hansborough, Orlando Johnson.

CynthiaParticipantOrton starting off surprisingly strong so far. Lamb looking pretty good too. Grant Jerrett seems hesitant to try and do anything, every time he gets the ball he passes it off as fast as he can.

cargathusParticipantI like Jeremy Lamb’s demeanor so far. He’s not shooting particularly well, but hes been able to create a bit for his teammates and his shots aren’t forced. I think it will fit in well with what OKC needs from him this year…secondary ball handler (or primary at times in the second unit) that will shoot the shots given to him and can create for others. Like a lesser James Harden in his 6th man role that can improve throughout the season.

Ghost01ParticipantI just don’t see it with Jeremy Lamb. He was a middle round pick in a mediocre draft. He’s not that assertive, he’s not a lights-out shooter… and he couldn’t play a lick last year. I think he’ll get better, but I just don’t think its realistic to think he’s going to be a starting level NBA player.

CynthiaParticipantNo one said Lamb is going to start, he will be in more of a 6th man role. Couldn’t play a lick last year? That was due to depth not lack of skill. Thunder start Sefolosha and had K-Mart off the bench, Lamb was not going to get minutes. But he did tear it up in the DLeague. Now that K-Mart is gone he will step into that role.

Ghost01ParticipantDerek Fisher was playing significant playoff minutes.
DeAndre Liggins was getting looks.
The D League means nothing, ask Terrence Williams.
The thing is, none of us have any clue how good Jeremy Lamb is, because he hasn’t really played in the NBA.
From what I have read from what people had seen from him in practice, and from the fact he couldn’t even crack the lineup last year, I just don’t believe he could possibly be that good.
Could he get better? Absolutely.
But acting as if there is no doubt he will be a legit sixth man for them next year, and there is no drop off from what they had to him this year is just plain stupid. You don’t know based on any reasonable facts that he is a good NBA player.

Was James Harden for Jeremy Lamb and Steven Adams a good trade?

SiggyParticipantLamb just looks comfortable. He shoots with the same rhythm and confidence from anywhere on the floor. His shot is just compact and effortless. He also looks comfortable handling the ball. His combo guard potential or at least 2ndary ball-handling ability should be explored because he does have an ability to run PnR, make pocket passes and pull up.

lawrencejdParticipantAs little offence Adams brings, his defense and rebounding is still great and could earn a him a few minutes in the rotation during the season towards the end of the season. He would also be great for finishing off lobs off of Westbrook and great for running the lanes. He is very athletic and his alley oop proved that!

JNixonParticipantI like what Jeremy Lamb showed. He plays like he doesnt have anything to prove, but at the same time he makes good decisions and shows the ability to potentially provide some of everything on offense. He still needs more strength, and his shots werent falling but he has very good upside.

CynthiaParticipant• Steven Adams – 2 blocks, 6 rebounds, and a sweet alley oop was the only bright side from Adams today. He missed a close shot and a couple mid range shots. We already knew he was raw offensively going in but 2 points in 20 minutes is sub par. As I’m sure most of you know I was not high on the Adams pick, but even I expected him to do a bit better than this. He was severely outshined by Orton & Plumlee.
• Ron Anderson – He was pretty bad, in 12 minutes only managed 2 points and 1 rebound on 0/3 shooting.
• Dwight Buycks – Wow? 12 points & 13 assists, what else can I say. His ball movement and passing was so much better than last year, he was a speed demon at times blowing by people like nothing. Here’s to hoping OKC picks him up as the 3rd PG.
• Grant Jerrett – Again wow. He started off a bit slow and almost looked overwhelmed but once he knocked down that first 3 his whole demeanor changed and he was in the zone. Led the game in scoring with 17 points, 4/5 from 3 point range. He also had 4 rebounds and 3 blocks…I was hoping OKC would pick up a stretch-4 in the draft and they did, but I honestly did not expect this type of all around game from Jerrett nor did anyone else. Still more games to go, but so far he could be a potential steal for a 40th pick.
• Kyle Kuric – He didn’t get much playing time but when he did came in he knocked down 2 threes rather quickly, ending up with 8 points in only 9 minutes.
• Jeremy Lamb – Lamb played surprisingly well as a secondary ball handler, he was blowing by his opponents with ease, creating shots for himself as well. He was 50% from 3 but overall wasn’t highly efficient. The shots he did get were all good looks and he didn’t seem to force anything, he just went with the flow of the game. Those shots will go down if he continues playing like that. He also got 6 rebounds, 14 points, and a couple assists.
• DeAndre Liggins – Liggins only scored 2 points but stats don’t tell the whole story, he was playing excellent defense and showed some good passing as well with 3 assists.
• Daniel Orton – What a surprise! Orton was a beast in this game, 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a steal. He played great defense and really showed a lot more improvement than I expected. He even hit a couple mid range jumpers. If he keeps up this level of play he might even overtake Adams as the 3rd center.
• Andre Roberson – Andre only scored 2 points, but it was a sweeeet reverse layup. His stats weren’t very impressive overall but like Liggins they don’t tell the true story. Andre was a ball hawk on defense, really giving his man troubles, he only came away with one official steal but he was tipping passes, and making his man lose control of the ball at times.
• Tony Taylor – Not much to be said here, he was the worst player on the floor. In 14 minutes he managed 2 points, 1 assist, 3 turnovers, and 3 fouls…His passes were poor, I’m surprised more didn’t get picked off than they did, he just seemed overwhelmed.
