franfranParticipantI had fun watching this game a lot,
Paul George looked like a star, very nice triple at the buzzer.
Roy Hibbert Was immense in rebounds, 12 in the first quarter and finished the game with 7 plugs, but had to sit through a bad fall, I hope it’s nothing.
Lance Stephenson, this guy has the Russell viper gene, ie without stopping attacks as is typical for Russell Westbrook, I really like the quality leap that given, the Pacers could have two MIP in two consecutive years?
I did felt happy to see Luis Scola, this man will save us many times, has a fantastic midrange jumper

samosasParticipantLance Stephenson is the perfect example that college isn’t for everyone. If a player like him were made to go to college for four years I don’t think he could have stayed out of trouble long enough to make it to the league. I was surprised and thrilled for him that he stayed good, he’s been impressive.

JoeWolf1I think it also took a front office that believed in him and were patient bringing him along. You’re right, in the right scenario, like Lance, it was great, but I have my doubts whether he’d have grown this much had he gone to a team like…say…Sacramento…he might be out of the league.
Props to Lance for his perserverance, but also props to Larry Bird and the Pacers for seeing what he could do and knowing how to get it out of him.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHonestly, I don’t see Lance succeeding anywhere except Chicago, Indiana, or Memphis. Blue-collar tough-nosed teams.
I would have seen him succeed in San Antonio but there was no way Gregg Popovich would have wanted him back then.

Critically ThinkingParticipantI liked this result for the Magic as well. Vucevic played far from his best game committing five turnovers and scoring just 8 points on 4-11 shooting.
Moe Harkless impressed me with his ability to slash and showed some improvements on his jumpshot.
Andrew Nicholson scored 18 points in the first half and showed the ability to score the basketball both inside and out. While watching i saw him make a turnaround left handed hook, and a corner three from the left side of the floor as well.
They put this 10 point loss in without Tobias Harris and I was quite impressed with the way they continued to battle after the Pacers began to pull away in the fourth quarter. It was very close after 3.

HitsterParticipantRoy Hibbert and Paul George have looked immense so far this season and Lance Stephenson continues to turn his career around from being seen as a wanabee superstar, he has knuckled down and turned himself into almost an unsung hero, willing to be 5th option but playing hard and developing his all round game.
The Pacers have put time into Stephenson and he has responded having a good coach in Frank Vogel plus the support from guys like Brian Shaw and now Nate McMillan and the front office with Donnie Walsh, Kevin Pritchard and Larry Bird you have links to some great NBA dynasties and guys who expect their players to be high caliber guys both on and off court. This seems to have really rubbed off on Lance.
