Down by 2 or 3, 15 seconds on the clock.

If you were Erik Spoelstra, would you even consider benching Wade OR LeBron in the closing seconds?

You can go with a lineup as such:

    5.  Bosh

    4.  Miller

    3.  LeBron OR James Jones

    2.  Wade OR Eddie House

    1.  Bibby

That lineup is stacked with shooters to better benefit the driving ability of LeBron and Wade.  Would you even consider benching one of your two superstars?

IMO, if we are getting the ball with 15 seconds left, I bench Bosh but keep Lebron and Wade on the floor..

    1. Bibby
    2. House
    3. Miller
    4. Wade
    5. James

Then, just spread everyone out and let the 2 big dogs do what they do best..

Bosh is a respectable shooter but only to 20 feet.. Lebron and Wade are as good as they come from there so he would only bee in the way…

It would be dumb to take Bosh off because he is statistically a better mid range shooter than both James and wade and he has hit alot of clutch 3 pointers in his career. Also, i thnk last year Bosh was statistically wise the 3rd most efficient shooter in the NBA. I dont know how they calculate it but his true shooting percentage was 3rd behind Nash and Kevin Martin so i would definitely keep Bosh on the court. Plus you need a big guy to set a good screen/pick.

I do think they need to start mixing it up though cause lebron is just not getting it done.

I think you start running the offense through Bosh late in games.  Bosh is a pretty good passer and this allows Wade and Bron to work off the ball.  You could set double screens and have Wade in triple threat position or have Lebron get a couple of screens and go to the basket at full speed on a cut.  The Miami heat need to do more back door in their half court offense.   Lebron and Wade need to learn from someone about scoring without the ball in their hands.

I just think Wade is a better finisher than LeBron.

Until this season, Wade had a different mode he’d go into when the game was on the line. I mean, you could see a difference between first quarter Wade and fourth quarter/crunch time Wade. I saw it first hand and in person last season during a game vs the Pacers. Wade just went into a different mode in the fourth quarter and closing minutes of the game. I don’t see that difference with LeBron. LeBron is the same player in the fourth quarter as he is in the first. All of the great one’s have had that mode they go into when the game is on the line and I just don’t think LeBron has figured it out yet. He probably never will.

LeBron is a better overall player than Wade is, but I’d like to see the ball in Wade’s hands when the game is on the line. Wade is more Jordan like when it comes to finishing a team off than LeBron is.

What about this: Wade, Miller, Lebron, Bosh, Anthony/Dampier/Ilgauskas? I think needs a more athletic PG. Wade isn’t you typical pg but how else are you gonna compete against Rondo, Rose and the other all the other athletic PG’s in the league? This still gives a better shooting team with Miller, the big 3 are still playing together in the starting lineup, and you can try and stop other athletic PG’s with Wade guarding them.

I would like to see Bosh get the offense ran through him more for sure. Just because he doesn’t get as many shots anymore doesn’t mean they shouldn’t utilize him to their advantage. All I see is Bosh taking jumpshots. He needs to be doing more than that, offensively. The thing is, that would never happen because Wade and LeBron are on the team.

If I was spoelstra, I’d try actually making a play of a time out rather than having my players coach the team. Because so far I’ve been hearing about individual players take shots and miss, but nothing about a play that was ran. Seriously, I’m not blaming it on the coach, but it is part of the problem.

The play design vs the Bulls was to get LeBron isolated one on one versus a big… It worked. LeBron just didn’t deliver.

I don’t know how you can blame that on the coach. You can’t blame the coach for the players missing shots.

I was thinking that the other day tongue out, and I agree. depends on the play call, I think its definitely the right thing to do on a Lebron isolation as the playcall. Just does the Coach have the balls to do whats right for the team. Bench Wade or use him as the finisher, he is doing no justice as a perimeter jumpshooter on Lebrons kickout. That is not his job, that is House’s job, Bibby’s job, Miller’s job, Jones’s job. Those are the guys you need in to do that job having Wade on the floor is meaningless if he is going for a perimeter jumpshot on a catch and shoot.
