high floorParticipantgive up one of their three young assets (Gordon, Isaac, Bamba) in a trade for a point guard, who do they package?
I don’t think Orlando can get their point guard of the future by including any of the following players (Fournier, Ross, Simmons, Vucevic).
Vucevic is playing at a very high level, but he’s also an expiring contract. Could make him tougher to trade for a younger long term piece. Plus Orlando just may want to resign him if he keeps this level of play up if he agrees to an affordable contract. Would give Bamba another year to learn & get his body right for a full-time starting job. Then try and trade Vucevic in another year or two.
Also, Orlando could look to someone like Terry Rozier in free agency next summer. I’m a little undecided on scary terry…….. as he’s looked awesome some nights & pedestrian other nights.
So, if orlando has to package one of Gordon, Bamaba, Isaac to get their point guard…. who should they give up?

Celtics3178ParticipantI was pondering how you can blow up the wizards and Orlando was my trade partner. John Wall for Vucevic and a role player or 2 for Wall makes sense for both sides. Orlando finally gets a star point guard. The Wizards get away from Wall super max and make the teaam Beals and Porter.
Or Trade Porter to NO for a 1 st and Mirotic? New Orleans reportedly offered that deal. I think a Mirotic Vucevic and Beal team moving forward with 2 first round picks for next year there own and NO put then in A better position moving forward.then their current situation.

ChoppyParticipantThat Porter contract is a real albatross. Wiz would probably have to include a first to get rid of it. Very unlikely anyone offers a first for Porter and his ridiculous contract.

Sharp ShooterParticipantrevisit the trade from last season for Reggie Jackson. The trade would’ve gone through if jackson wasn’t injured. Orl has the cap space for him, its just a matter of who are they giving up for him. I would say the pistons would want Fournier (who the pistons also asked about last season) and DJ Augustin. something along those line would work

BeardedDragon84ParticipantYeah, I’m not interested in trading any of those 3 yet. If they bring back Vuc and TRoss those 2 cap holds eat up any space they have. Probably not getting much with the MLE, think its drafting the best point guard they can in the draft and hoping he develops quickly as Augustin expires 2020. If they want Rozier or Brogdan, they probably have to renounce vuc or Ross. Trading one of the three you mentioned already would be a huge mistake.

Bmore_DCParticipantI think Orlandos young guys have more value to ORLANDO than anyone else (if that makes sense). Although if you wanna trade some of those pieces for Wall, were listening lol

festar35ParticipantIf Orlando trade for a point guard I don’t think it’ll be someone all that special.
I can see them doing exactly what is mentioned above and trying to pay Terry Rozier in the Summer. (I think we see Rozier on Magic or Suns in 2019)

r377ParticipantI quite liked Jerian Grant in college, how has he looked ?
Young PGs you could look at are Tyus Jones, Frank Jackson or Frank Mason. Buy low and give them a shot…
Need to get rid of Jonathon Issac, Ive never been a fan of his. Need to trade him soon before teams work out he is the next Perry Jones

ChammesParticipantIsaac has a ton of potential, he was a star in the summer league. Ife he gets a jumper he will be very good.
